The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Fox only gave the story a cursory glance, but she did end by saying in what I felt was a "hmmmm?" kind of tone, was that a second device had been found.
My son is on campus now -- he is a GA and checking around. The one Norman cop I talked to said the Feds are still investigating. I will talk to our DA tomorrow and see if he knows anything.

Speaking of taglines, yours is the best! I remember that movie as if it was yesterday! How many years ago did that movie come out? I love the thought of liberals becoming soylent green! MMMMMM--YUMMY!
"found near his body"...
I didn't hear that part, but then again, husband is hammering. LOL Makes me wonder if this person WAS trying to place two bombs and one exploded prematurely. hmmm

Sounds like a premature detonation.
that is the main focus of most everyone here.
and its funny, a few minutes ago, FNC runs a fox news alert calling a brush fire in Burbank - "suspicious".
You forgot the part about Nicholas Berg being here on the OU campus in school prior to heading out to the Middle East to crawl up towers and get beheaded. :)
So, is Boren going to admit he lied?
"Fox just now showing OU video. Identified bomber as a male and saying a second explosive device was found near his body."
I thought all morning long the MSM wanted to suggest there had not been a second device. Looks like freepers were on target.

So there WAS a body...

Hell of a way to get the news. Don't we have a group of people that are supposed to be doing this?
I don't get the Bali connection .. are they some secret ally of ours?
ping
Are you all hearing anything of this?
We have leading school for Petroleum Engineering in the world along with the Sarkey's Energy Center. We get a lot of Middle East and South American students here. There is a mosque down the street from the Athletic Dorms that I didn't know existed until the Berg incident happened and I drove by to see where it was. I was expecting a fancy building since they said mosque but it was a house with a high fence and rodiron on it.

Shameful to al-Qaeda, Bali is actually taking money from western tourists and hosting them the way they want to be hosted.
No arguments from me. I happen to be intimately familiar with cellular/PCS and PSTN. Suffice to say, first responders are given priority when TSHTF. A lot was learned from the OKC incident, as well as WTC I and II.
The fact was stated here that the local cable feed went down shortly after this incident. This is to be predicted, so as not to allow anyone involved to perform an analysis on the effect and the response plan execution. Personally, I have no doubt that this bombing incident was planned and coordinated. I also have no problem with ther being zero live coverage, for now. Live coverage would give the planners opportunity to perform "real-time" evaluations, and exploit deficiencies in the response plans. Not trying to diss you, and thank you for your public service!

Wat to go, FOX. Still reporting last night's news. Maybe by tomorrow, they'll catch up.
That does happen fairly frequently. In fact they blow up "suspicious" stuff when there was no "first device". Although if the bomb dogs are what found the thing that they blew up, the question remains what did the dog alert on? Maybe some guy had carried ammo in his back pack not long ago? That I could believe. But then he left it laying around on campus somewhere? Less likely.
