From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.

The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.

The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.

After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Yeah, I find it puzzling that hardly anything is coming out from the msm about this story. Strange!

but didn't this suicide take place around 8pm Oklahoma time?

from what I read, it detonated at about 7:20 PM - assuming "he" was getting into place, an 8PM detonation is indeed possible....

I think a foreigner looking at a map would consider OKC to be centrally located inside our borders. The 'heart'. And hitting the 'heart' would seem like a good idea to foreign sickos.

That's one of the things people were talking about earlier - that perhaps it went off too soon? There was talk that perhaps he was trying to affix the bombs to the buses so that would make sense with that scenario as well... Who knows at this point, really...

I thought F & F's was bad before, but the trio now is the worst. I don't see how this show will last. Maybe, just maybe, this is the only way to get rid of Julian.

It really doesn't make sense to have a black-out on this unless there is something to be more concerned about and they don't want to cause a panic...JMHO.

"Maybe, just maybe, this is the only way to get rid of Julian."

Yeah, and the sooner the better! He ought to go over to CNN where he'd fit right in with his liberal stupidity!

"What about bag-checks? Yankee Stadium has had them for a while now."

Then we'll need bag checks in malls, in Town Square checkpoints, etc. How about this? We SECURE OUR BORDERS. We can ask our allies what they're finding out when they spy on our mosques and encourage them some kind of reward [unofficially], and we nail these goons, nail illegal aliens [who make it easier for these goons to slip in], and get vicious.

Thank God it wasn't a nuke! We have yet another wakeup call, and we darn well better listen. Bag checks are not the answer. We'd also need shoe checks, hat checks, pat-downs, and God-knows-what.

If terrorists are setting off bombs, it would hurt the stock market and employment. Don't be surprised if it just goes away, gets shluffed off, or even covered up, just like the East Coast/England blackouts.

"Bag checks are not the answer. We'd also need shoe checks, hat checks, pat-downs, and God-knows-what."

Very true.

If a person really wanted to evade a bag check, he could have explosives surgically implanted in the abdomen.

Even have a lung taken out and replaced with explosives.

I am NOT a conspiracy kind of person. But I went to Yahoo- nothing on headlines there..then popped into US News..scrolled down..nothing. Just wondering why a bomb going off at a college football game isn't worth at least a blurb.

Sounds painful. But when you really want 72 virgins bad enough....

Welcome to reality. They don't want to scare the masses, hurt the stock markets, etc. "Apparently a suicide." I'm curious about this guy's name, religion, and nationality.

Same story that they began with last night. Nothing new yet. I really am curious if this is gonna be another Mohamed something or the other.

Yep- But that was written last night..no follow up anywhere. Not a WORD on F & F..they just did the news..had things like hot-air balloon shows..meeting of bishops at the Vatican..but not a word about a bomb at OU.

If there were more than one explosive pack that would imply more than one suicide bomber.

The big break in the London bombings came when the police were able get to the explosive packs on the 2nd go around. Who was the clymer that ordered the others to be blown up in OK?

http://www.kfor.com/Global/story.asp?S=3925606

The story from here makes it sound like there was indeed several devices. The bomber, a second ED, and something found in the stadium...

Either it is poor reporting or there is more to the story and the feds want to be sure to get the story right, AND suicide bombers don't work alone there is a cell of 5-10 people involved. They don't want leaks to tip them off. That could very well be why there is limited media coverage of the event(s). A less is more approach to catch the cell(s). Loose lips...sink ships.
