This is a quick post to provide an after action report for the DC Chapter Freep of Code Pink at Walter Reed. It was a night to remember and I did not want to keep everyone waiting. There will be a full report with all pictures later on in the week.
It was a normal but cooler night as everyone arrived for another evening of countering Code Pink. Down the street came the sound of a single motorcycle. The Rolling Thunder scout arrived to announce the news of more bikes to follow. The first scout went accross the street to talk with the Code Pinkos. The police came rolling down the street. We are not sure the exact details of what went on over there but it was not pretty in pink (land). The scout was asked by the police to come back over to our side.
The rest of the Rolling Thunder group arrived and they parked right in front of Code Pink. Gael Murphy had a fit and the police were very nice. They ask the guys from Rolling Thunder to move to our side. The bikers walked back over to their side a few times just to taunt them. When they went over to the otherside we would chant, "Hug A Vet".
Gael had a group meeting at the end and she was mad as a wet hen.
"This entire group, plus the national groups (1000's) come to town"

They can't *stand* not being the "cool" ones...
They hate having it pointed out that they are
fringe nuts, that are to be mocked, like the
craven traitorous irrelevant LOSERISTS, that

who has since turned "The Old Grey Lady" into
the "Red Rag Hag" stcks of used toilet paper, that
it's printed on news sheets are today. Defacated
all over by the feces flinging monkeys like Maureen
Shroud, Gall Krugmonkey, and Finepig.
Sniveling beady eyed, rats in human suits, spewing
the disease of immorality and nietzie-ist piggery,
with their every word.
And they call *us* Nazis....When that's what *every*
policy *they* espouse as being "good" for "us" is
leading us down the path to...uniform piggery in
uniform pigstys...except for *them*..for they are
the "Beautiful People".

C-SPAN always broadcasts the Rolling Thunder event every May. I would pay PLENTY to witness a Rolling Thunder/Code Pink confrontation on Pay-Per-View. Granted, a first round KO guaranteed, but it would be worth every penny.
And the nearly constant honking, yells and waves/thumbs up we received. ...may prove to be a Tipping Point for the Pink-Os.

Code Pink only supports troops in their heads. When you bring them reals vets, they just don't hold up to their words.
I loved watching Squeegee slink away demurely to the other Walter Reed entrance corner as the Rolling Thunder Riders crossed Georgia Avenue while we FReepers shouted:
"Give A Vet A Hug!"
A very telling moment that money just cannot buy.
I'd love to have been/be a fly on the wall listening the the recovering patients in the wards and Day Rooms.

It was an evening that was worth fighting DC traffic. Just the faces when they pulled up were priceless. Gael has been trying to bully us with their little notes to the locals and calling the police after they leave. It was nice to see some change.
That guy was about 6'6" and at least 250 lbs.
I tried to get him to pose with the "daughter" sign and he so politely said "no way!".
I'll miss you until I return at the holidays.
Just tell her my age and she will stop worrying!!

I suppose many just come from too far to ride them here.
They go to Arlington cemetery and just seem to fill all the roads!
