Well, he sure as hell did...

He said the teen liked to tinker with the family's lawn mowers and research fireworks, Shades of my own mis-spent youth. What a shame. How can one be so inhumane to leave another person to die just because one is afraid of getting in trouble?

Throw the book at the idiot. Always know what your target is, and be aware of what the backstop could potentially be. Because of this idiot, a mamber of society was removed far before his time -sounds like manslaughter to me.

And what animal would that be? The only large game in Wisconsin is deer and it sure as hell isn't deer season.

This idiot should go to jail just being STUPID! Stupidity and guns don't mix and I fear there are way too many more like him out there. Safe hunting to all you responsible hunters.

I do not allow hunting on my property. I well understand why anyone would hunt and kill for survival, but I do not understand how anyone could derive pleasure from killing and subjecting animals to pain and terror.

another story hereThe tape shows a person Quirin said is Schroeder in a nearby field. Schroeder's voice can be heard, telling Hammes he'll call for help on his cell phone, the complaint said.
Then Schroeder says he can't find a signal and promises to get help. But according to the complaint, he instead went to a birthday party, home to play video games and then his job as a custodian at the Army's Fort McCoy near Sparta. ---

He told police he thought he saw an animal when he fired the shots... worth 2 + years (say 6 months inside) and loss of right to bear arms forever unless there were extenuating circumstances - the victim was in cammo or something, then maybe less time., and he didn't call for help after seeing Hammes because he feared he would get in trouble..... 10 + years at least. Just my opinion.

as a gentle giant, who stood over six feet tall and wore size 17 shoes.....do you think this hunter thought he saw a bigfoot? There are people that would love to capture or kill one to prove it's real and what kind of animal did this guy think he was hunting and did he have a permit just to go shoot any animal.
