I can understand the value on chasity & modesty, and therefore a family's displeasure at a woman's seemingly inappropriate behavior. However, automatically treating her like a criminal when often she herself is the victim, and unable to defend herself physically or verbally, is reprehensible.

A woman in that society can get killed simply for refusing to marry someone or for talking to a man. Or worse, raped or assaulted as revenge by another family. She is trapped in a no-win situation: either comply with male relatives and subject herself to abuse, or speak up for herself, and get killed.

This story needs more exposure than what the MSM would like to give it. If it is to gain wider exposure it will have to percolate up through the blogs & talk radio so that the MSM will have to acknowledge it, but then only as a story wherein the peace-loving Muslim population is fretful of an anti-Muslim backlash from the Danes.
