Not that the Superdome scenario wasn't bad, but rumors flew inside there, and with the advent of cell phones the world got to passed around the rumors.
I suspect some journalists repeated the rumors as "eyewitnesses" to be the "first" to report their veracity...turned out to be untrue.
I missed the Nagin presser . . . think he's desparately trying to keep Compass on the reservation . . . probably already too late, I bet Compass has already flipped Nagin to the Feds . . . let's watch and see . . .
And there's still something that bothers me about Nagin leaving N.O. during all this . . . if I were Mayor, I'd have been camping down there if I had to . . . something he needed was no longer in N.O.
Isn't this the guy that ordered firearms be confiscated from the law abiding citizens of NO?
He needs to be squashed like the cockroach that he is and never again be employed in any position of authority.

That's why CNN and ABC were so quick to set up a full time bureau down there in NO. They know this is "the front" for the culture wars. And why they were so complicit in blaming the Feds.
The NO thing will be a huge step forward in turning back the New Deal and War on Poverty IMO of the last 40-60 years.

I figure Nagin knew about it. This is kinda funny... he goes on television and slams the president repeatedly. Now the FBI is chasing him.... And all the time the president just lays low, quiet, reserved, want to help the American people etc. This is championship politics at it's best...
