I have no intention of giving up on the party, nor am I upset with the President. Now some of our congress members, yes, but not President Bush.

Our president has good character as a solid foundation. He says that he reads the Bible every day and prays every day. Does anyone doubt that? If not, then we know he is a President better in character than any other in recent history. If the foundation is this strong, then I will stick with him and pray for him.

Your question could be posed as.."Which do you prefer, to be shot or hung"? Either scenario, you lose. Whether you vote or not is not relevant. There are millions that do not vote in every election, with untold millions that have never voted, therefore, the whining about not voting elects a democrat is bogus.

Oh, and Brown was competent at his job because of his years representing owners and judges of Arabian horses? I've had it with cronyism in the GOP. Okay. Sure. They all do it. But let's hand out jobs that aren't quite so crucial in the future. Bernie Kerik would've been a lot better as head of the DHS to oversee the inexperienced Brown.

Schemes such as recruiting an FBI porn squad while people are streaming over an unsecured border are just plain wrong.

I think you should consider whether Bush has not done a lot considering the razor-thin margins of majority he has in both houses of Congress. If you want a more conservative government, elect more conservatives, but don't expect the president to be a dictator and do for you what you have not done for yourselves.

Brown was competent because he did the job well. He performed far better than Clinton's appointees to the same position. Even with the problems caused by local leadership incompetency in New Orleans and Louisiana, Brown managed to have the Federal response on the ground quickly and in force.

I've watched FEMA in action. I've lived through a devastating hurricane. Brown's management of FEMA was definitely an improvement.

Was he the absolute best? Probably not, but he was better than most who have held that post, and it wasn't until Katrina exposed the need for a more dynamic leader for FEMA, so that the response could be adjusted on the fly depending on the preparedness levels of the local officials.... Brown was more than adequate, and more than competent.

We Suck Less". *Snicker*

LOL. Similar to one I heard a couple of years ago.
The Democrats want to floor the gas pedal, shift the bus into overdrive, and steer us over the cliff. Republicans will only use third gear.

Vote for the best candidate, period

And then fall prey to bait and switch. Even if the crat is genuinely to the right of Tancredo, when they vote to organize the house, he votes for Pelosi, and you still get liberal policies.

You need to look at the big picture. You can't vote for crats until the present leadership is gone.

Imagine a government with the likes of Pelosi, Conyers, Waxman, Franks, De'lauro, Nadler and Wexler running things. It doesn't matter how conservative the crat appears, the leadership sets the agenda. And that leadership is hard core socialist.

"I hate liberal thought more than I love the Republican party."

I'm with you. I oppose neoMarxist/leftist/pseudo-liberal ideology, idologues and their devious tactics. The Republican Party symbol The Elephant should change to that of a Mute Eunoch. I wonder if most of the Repubs are blackmailed by the Clintonistas... After reading a historical bio of Florence (Mrs. Warren) Harding, I am left with the impression that the FBI was a blackmailing agency.

It may not be a wasted vote, but is it the best use of your vote in the long term? Is it more reasonable to believe that a 3rd party can be made into a viable major party or that the current lesser-of-two-evils major party can be reformed? I believe the latter is more reasonable. The Constitution Party may give you short term satisfaction, but I believe you will find yourself disappointed in the longterm.

You still have plenty of allies left in the GOP and we can certainly use your help.

I never mentioned the word "Democrat". The best candidate could be from any number of parties or no party at all.

The FFs abhorred the parliamentary system and that's why we don't have one. And I doubt we ever shall have one.
