If all the people who are sick up and fed with with the current party voted for a third party, it would win.

I am reminded of the time William F. Buckley was running in New York on the Conservative Party ticket. When asked what would be his first action if elected, he replied, "Demand a recount".

Very engaging post.

Rush ... Rush is so bright, I heard his mother called him SUN!

Very good, Rush might even pick up on that in one of his 1 liners to the tune of "here comes the 'sun'".
But the question is, is he right?

How about the Midwest, especially Wis, Mn, and Iowa. We have half flipped Mn and S. Dakota with IMO a lot of RNC support. With voter id, Kohl and Feingold could be dumped. Carter and Bakers id recommendations should be one of our top priorities.

Nah.

George W. Bush is a polarizing president to be sure, but until recently his approval numbers rarely dipped below 50%. His approval is at record lows now because his supporters are disappointed in him too - for different reasons than the flame-throwing Left.

Interesting that you bring up JFK as an example of a moderate Democrat who cut taxes. JFK was the last Democrat president to do that- Carter and Clinton didn't. JFK also had more backbone on foreign affairs than Clinton or Carter did. My point is, this isn't the Democratic Party of JFK's day. The Flower Children of the Sixties run the party today.
