... Um, do you need a design for that statue?

I figured that I would use this picture as a guide.

I am told it resembles you to a remarkable degree.

Archimedes would point out that there is nothing to dip your oar into.

This coming from someone who wants to put a castle in space!

Neptune lives way too close to Uranus for my liking....

I can see it happening.

"Service" monkeys get computer implants to help them communicate. This works much better than anyone anticipated, and we shortly get a combination of Planet of the Apes meets the Rise of the Machines.

They see no more need for us useless eaters, and decide to eliminate us, perhaps through a "Soylent Green" type operation. Thanks for the nightmare.

"... someone who wants to put a castle in space!"

Actually, I thought I'd use about a thousand of these for propulsion.

Works for me. Maybe we can even get a "pond" in there and have mini-Viking ship races...battery operated, so the oars move...then we can set them on fire...
;o]

I can get one at Wal-mart for $99...it would cost $75 just to get ONE fixed. There are just other things I have needed more...darnit.

"Wynken, Blynken and Nod one night, sailed off in a wooden shoe. Sailed on a river of crystal light, into a field of blue..."

Seems to me, there were oars on that ship...I probably have the words all wrong, too...

Bad link posting, try 1550.

I usually check them before posting, but I guess I got in a hurry.

A thousand of those would give a lot of lifting power.

I have been told by reliable sources that the resemblance to our dear Supreme Architect of the Floating Citadel is quite startling.

This is true.

I screwed mine up reupholstering a couch.

While it was being repaired they lent me a refurbished Home Ec. machine.

Biggest mistake I ever made was not buying it.

You could have sewed a straight line through a yard stick with it.

Didn't do anything but a straight stitch and zig zag but I like it.

Some of the illustrations showed at least a steering oar, but it was a sailing ship, was it not?

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, by Eugene Field

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night

Sailed off in a wooden shoe ~

Sailed on a river of crystal light,

Into a sea of dew.

"Where are you going, and what do you wish?"

The old moon asked the three.

"We have come to fish for the herring fish

That live in this beautiful sea;

Nets of silver and gold have we!"

Said Wynken,

Blynken,

And Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song

As they rocked in the wooden shoe,

And the wind that sped them all night long

Ruffled the waves of dew.

The little stars were the herring fish

That lived in the beautiful sea ~

"Now cast your nets wherever you wish ~

Never afeard are we";

So cried the stars to the fisherman three:

Wynken,

Blynken,

And Nod.

All night long their nets they threw

To the stars in the twinkling foam ~

Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,

Bringing the fishermen home;

'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed

As if it could not be,

And some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed

Of sailing that beautiful sea ~

But I shall name you the fishermen three:

Wynken,

Blynken,

And Nod.

Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,

And Nod is a little head,

And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies

Is a wee one's trundle-bed.

So shut your eyes while mother sings

Of wonderful sights that be,

And you shall see the beautiful things

As you rock in the misty sea,

Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:

Wynken,

Blynken,

And Nod.

Wow. I'm impressed.

Maybe on Christmas, we can get an ice carving of His Royal Weatherness?
