Every Thursday at the Finest |
I downloaded it. It has a 'exe' after it. Did you have to execute your download?
One time a whole bunch of us decided to leave school in the middle of the day and go out to the country club and just hang out the rest of the afternoon - dance, have some snacks and soft drinks. And what fun it was. Until the principal called a special assembly and made all of us feel so bad. (We were the student body officers, class officers, athletes, honor students, favorites, etc - those supposed to set a good example)
It also was not fun explaining to our parents why we needed a written note from them to get back in class the next day.
We have that in writing, sistahs!!!!
NOOOOOO! LOL
And go ahead and download that link Lori provided. It works for IE 6, too. I did - you have to reboot for it to take effect.
WHY in the heck did XP omit that feature?!!!
I used it very seldom, but it is a nice feature. Don't know why they omitted it.
No. Just reboot and it should work. It did for Billie after she rebooted. :-)
After you download it, just click on it and it installs wherever the heck it's supposed to - you don't have to tell it where! Click on it, reboot, then try it! It works!
In May of 1952, Pat and I and Jerry and Maxine were still going out as a foursome; The Senior Prom no exception.
I was going to spend the night with Maxine, whose parents were out of town. After the Dinner and Prom itself, nearly everyone in those days headed for the beaches to have parties afterward, in small groups.
Pat lived on Indialantic Beach with his mother, but she was spending the evening with friends.
The Other Three decided Little Maggie (nondrinker; noalcohol in my home; parents sometimes had cocktails when dining out in Orlando) needed to have the experience of drinking in Safe Company, so she'd know what it was like and avoid it out in the Big Bad World.
The Plan involved changing clothes at Maxine's; raiding Pat's mother's liquor supply for Scotch, and taking it and cartons of Cokes to the beach, setting up on a large blanket.
The guys poured, and all of us imbibed. YEARS LATER they confessed they had made every one of MY drinks a double!!
Before long, they were tipsy, and then plain drunk - raised-to-be-a-lady-in-control, I was COLD SOBER!
Patrick spied a small bird caught in the gentle waves, and waded out to save it, spouting poetry all the while to me!! LOL
Finally, we decided to go, but they could barely stand up straight, and I almost insisted I drive - still absolutely sober..:))
No traffic at 3 in the morning, so Jerry drove.
Everyone in high school tried to stay up through the next day, so we went down the beach from Pat's house to rest until the sun came up and his mother went to work - then went to his house to be out of the sun until we left for supper out - to the drive-in movie that night - and finally I got to crash at Maxine's!
They never forgave me..:))
Tried both ways, still no partial view source. : (
Set at 1024 x 768, my tables are just under 10 inches wide (about 9 7/8ths) - I really don't think I'd like looking at them much narrower! :)
The way I intend to build my tables in future is to make a blank one at the beginning (turned on, turned off) that has a width of 775. That way, I can see how wide I can allow cellpaddings and not make anyone have to scroll if theirs is set at 800 x 600.
You should post a thread about your experiences, sweetheart. ((((((Exie)))))
Oh, gosh. Why isn't it working for wolfie, Billie? I have no idea. :-(
Downloaded to desktop? Clicked on it to *install* it? Shut down pc? Wierd - it should work!

When we had our Senior Play, I could not participate, living out too far to stay after school, so was made the Business Manager for it.
Did the advertising, had the programs printed, painted sets, and when it was time to get furniture from a local store for the set, the Shop Teacher (I took Mechanical drawing from him; first female to do so) let Pat and Jerry use his truck to go with me to select it.
It took us half the afternoon, of course, laughing all the time over silly little things...those were wonderfully idyllic years, compared with today's tense ones.
Oh, how neat that is! Love the flying background! And it's not cheating - gosh, use those table templates any way any time you can!
I tried that resolution a little while ago. I could live with it, but I changed it back to what I was running. The width of the tables bothered me a lot for awhile, now it looks normal. :-)

That's a good idea. I think I will try that. Easier than my method of upload it all to domania then going to my mother's computer (which has an 800x600 screen resolution) and viewing my post there to see if it is too wide. LOL.
I downloaded it to my 'downloads folder', not the desktop. Will try that. : )
I have to leave for about a half hour, will be back. : )

Oh, no!!! Is that "cheating"??? I use other people's formats all the time. :-(
That's why I like the "view partial source" so much. ;-)
You know, kids don't always realize at the time that they usually have a choice of building good memories or bad ones, and it has more to do with how they feel about themselves than about race or class. One of the prettiest girls in my class, and one of my best friends, was one of the most popular - and she lived in a mobile home with not a very good home life, but she didn't let that stop her from being the best she could and making friends and getting the most of her education.
It might have something to do with it. Putting it on your desktop is like putting it on the whole computer, I think! Your downloads folder is inside some other program, I guess, but it looks like if it doesn't ask you *where* to install it, it wouldn't matter *where* you park it as a download.
Gotta go for a while, too - will check back later this evening. Hope you got it installed. (I do use mine a lot - HATED not having it!)
