Am I understanding that FReeper Mustang has died? was there a thread ? guess I missed it & would appreciate anyone pointing me in right direction
Hello Tweety.. do go back to weekend thread. Lots of folks greeted you there. Know you were busy(as usual) there on the homefront
All, I am devoting this weeks special recognition to OneLoyalAmerican. He is a coast guard reservist from Chicago who was called up the Cleveland Coast Guard Station over a year ago & recently to NO to help in people/pet rescue. We have gotten to know him here as he participates in our meetings, FReeps etc.He has just finished up on the rescue mission & is on way back to Cleveland as i key in here.
Here is a pix of Joe(OLA) & his wife - taken in January at his Chief promotion at CG Hdqtrs in cleveland
and here is a thread where he posted some thngs on the rescue effort. think you will enjoy reading all the comments from folks involved
so here it is where I intended it.
Tribute to my dad - Dr. Michael Grlicky. WW2 Pacific theater. 1917-1990. The pix are of the grave, his navy pix, his navy duffle bad & our family flag, sunset flag lifted from somewhere on FR, the masouleum, which is next to family plot on a ridge overlooking the Rocky River in Western suburbs of Cleveland.
I have it so I can rework & play with it somemore. I have learned to keep the pix in their graphic program format for future changes. Hard lesson learned
It's gorgeous.
I missed it on Saturday so it is new to me.
This particular one, honoring the military, is especially striking with that lovely border.
Speaking of graphics, can't resist giving this one to you and Billie,
to alter for you to use as your 'signature' when posting elaborate table graphics - -
That's beautiful, Dolly.
the bread crumbs you sprinkled to the Post about him in a little while...
Thank you!
(Did an FR Search on 'Mustang passed' to locate it.)
Today's refinement is just beautiful, with the smaller scale!
It makes it easier to see the wonderful details.
gee.. wonder what happened.. it is the same one.. wonder if traffic on FR or something els is a factor. Billie, HELP? is there a variable in observing same pix on same computer from one day to next?
I am still on old computer & small screen (cable tomorrow ..cartwheel time)
thanks maggie.. will check out thread now during "this " break.
thanks Dan
My hubby changes the "VIEW" of the Internet to LARGEST when he's online!
I thus saw it larger than usual...:))
(same thing causes me to see graphics with the border on the right
chopped off - have to click on smaller View to fix it)
BTW....
I DID IT!!!!!! SOLO'ed this afternoon and absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!!
I'm sorry I missed your original post. Thanks to Billie for telling me about it.
I've been dealing with sinus probs...
and wasn't checking in at the Finest. : (
Wolfie is extremely PROUD of you.
You may fly him around the world, he won't be afraid. (well, maybe just a little)
: )
you and I share the "fun" of sinus problems. headaches a lot..on meds all the time. allergies year round.. and for a better thought.. Like this that I came across on a mailing.

"The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power."
-- Alexander Hamilton (The Farmer Refuted, 23 February 1775)
