Bill Gertz and Rowan Scarborough in todays Washington Times provide the perspective of Army Colonel H.R. McMaster, who is leading the campaign in Iraq to retake the border town of Tal Afar, on the Islamo-fascists he is confronting:
Col. McMaster appeared in the Pentagon this week via a video hookup to describe how his 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, joined by 3rd Iraqi Army Division, routed most of the extremists.
But it was his description of how the enemy occupied their safe haven that got the most attention. Col. McMaster told of beheadings, gunshot killings, a booby-trapped dead child and kidnappings.
"This is the worst of the worst in terms of people in the world," he said. "To protect themselves here, what the enemy did is they waged the most brutal and murderous campaign against the people of Tal Afar. ... The enemy here did just the most horrible things you can imagine, in one case murdering a child, placing a booby trap within the child's body and waiting for the parent to come recover the body of their child and exploding it to kill the parents."
Col. McMaster said his men killed scores of the enemy in a series of firefights up and down the tight streets of the crossroads between Syria, where insurgents train, and the critical northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
Col. McMaster said soldiers captured some associates of lead terrorist Abu Musab Zarqawi. "They are some of the worst human beings on the face of the Earth," he said. "There is no really greater pleasure for us than to kill or capture these particular individuals."
Not a peep. Killing a child, ripping the guts out and sticking a bomb in the cavity so they coyld blow up the mother. How sick is that?
Micheal Moores hero's, Cindy shee-mans hero's, even though these are the same type of animals that killed her son.
That's the kind of world they would rather live in, and would rather Iraq's live in.
You won't hear anything from them, because they don't care about these victims. All they care about it their seething hatred for President Bush, and their hatred for America. In their eyes, America can do no right. America is the root of all evil. That war is always evil. That we should be completely unarmed, and once we've shown the world that we are defenseless, then the rest of the world will love us... At least after we've paid tribute and restitution to the rest of the world for all the wrongs we've perpetuated.
These idiots are consumed by guilt. Where the guilt comes from, I have no idea. But it's a peculiarity of the left... It's like a leftist Jew apologizing for the pali terrorist who's about to saw his head off. They're like the environmentalists who believe that the world would be a better place without people in it. Of course, those idiots never include themselves in the list of those the world would be better without, since they're "doing good."
No, you won't hear a peep from them, since as bad as all these things are... The beheadings, the torture, the rapes, the murders... None of these are as bad as "American Imperialism."

sounds like hell on earth has been found....
I don't know what everyone's so upset about. Clearly these people can be reasoned with if we'd just talk to them. /SARCASM
How come the ACLU hasn't sent their pro-bono lawyers to represent this scum? And surely, no court of law would allow this slander, would they? /sarc.
How dare you compare the palinazis to monkeys!
Monkeys are vital in the use of research. The palinazis are only usefull for target practice!

They're great for Gun Control...Ready (steady), Aim (in the chest), Fire (two)...BAM! BAM! GOOD GUN CONTROL.
I wish you would write a book about your experiences and offset the awful ones coming out, like 'The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell', which is so fashionably cynical.
You should consider your typical law-school faculty. It's enough to make your head spin. I've never figured it out.
What's the source of that code? I like it. Want to add it to my files.
Thanks for posting this inspiring article.

Forget the capture.

Anyone who would do that is lower than animals, lower than the lowest scum that humanity has ever generated. Lower than Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot.
Just arabs doing what an arab's gotta do to emulate mad mohammad.
Thank you. I'm planning to write an article about vice and virtue, with as many sources as possible. Got it bookmarked!
I think we might have gotten awful close to getting the B@stard this time. Apparently he was extracted through some hidden tunnels.
Oh well better luck next time.
