9 P.M. EDT.
Conservatism is finally dead when George Bush can sound like LBJ and be lauded for it by a majority even on the FreeRepublic.
He sure tricked the media though. They thought he was going to be "less generous". Instead, he showed just how compassionate and generous a slick politician can be with other people's money.
Cute. What would your response be if an area that is home to millions to people, a gateway port for agriculture, and a major oil shipment point were wiped off the map?
I'm thankful that he has a can-do spirit and find hope in every tragedy. We've needed what he has to offer right now.
Now the challenge is to get those who work in strategic places to accomplish this mission to see the vision.
Every challenge says you rise to the occasion or you die. MHO
Here, here! Well stated. President Bush is a true unifier.
While switching all over the TV dial I saw an ABC reporting almost baiting hurricane victims from New Orleans into saying something, anything bad about the Presidents speech. All, everyone of the Katrina victims interviewed stated they firmly believed the President's speech was truthful and offered hope for the future. So much for the ABC reporter :)
Hmmm... some of those comments look like Freepers here.
Love the one where Bush "lied" about it being cat 5 instead of cat 4. Yeesh... ROFL
Your post is absolutely beautiful. I'm standing with you on every word.
They're always there, waiting, watching, hoping to find an opportunity to try to kick a good man when they think he's down.
I will formally apologize to Howlin.
My comments were meant for Mr. Mean. Somehow in my frustration over Mr.Mean's mentality I must have hit the wrong reply button.
Sorry!
LOL
murky called me a newbie too....
must be a right of passage or badge of honor or something :)
You might think peas in a pod.
Where you are as you tag states, conservative firster.
I am American Conservative Firster and Support Bush.
Have bounced all over this humongous thread.
Some of the "complainers" can't see the forest for the trees. They do not see what the President is in fact proposing. And its results.
President Bush and his admin are amazing men and women. Very, very bright.
They just do not believe in stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime. ;> And I don't either.
Exactly and he isn't the only politician in Louisiana thinking the same this. This storm is going to change NOLA for many years to come. Many of the welfare class will never return to be replaced by folks that come looking for work.
---NO will be a better city if job training and education is improved..The problem is that LA pols will fight the letting go of their own little crooked games...and their own crooked government practices.---
Yep, Louisiana is filled with little kingdom makers who won't be happy to lose their place at the till...that will take some work....
Judging from some of the posts on this thread, some people who call themselves conservatives aren't that much better.
Me too! If anyone knows, and if it will be on the Internet, please let me know. For a lot of reasons, including intermittent electric outages, I missed most of it. :(
I think we should help these people. In that, I'm with the majority of Americans.
If you think wearing your green eyeshades is impressing anybody, it's not.
WOO HOO!
He is implimenting his agenda here. The problem is one that every democratic urban area has in this country. Mother Nature simply has been the catalyst to do things our way.
At this point I just want the thing rebuilt so I am no longer paying 10.00 for 2 lbs of coffee.
That will never happen. They are too busy congratulating themselves on furthering destroying America, which is the ultimate goal.
