Was Turbin ever in the private practice of law or has he been a bureaucrat all of his life?
He - and the talking heads on PBS are chagrined that Roberts said that he would have taken the side of Colorado in the gay rights case. Why in the hell wouldn't he, since over 60% of the voters in Colorado had expressed their preference?
Didn't they have a case? Standing?
To: Bahbah
No I missed that. They all did well, giving Roberts backup and allowing him to clarify and smack down the Rats as well. It was good, good team work.

I now give you my next choice for the SC.........drum roll please............Miguel Estrada With the news that conservative strategists are demanding the Senate Judiciary give them access to an estimated 4,000 Democratic memos that are in Senate Sergeant at Arms William Pickles possession, they're certainly laying the groundwork for Estrada, IMHO.

Does anyone have access to any "Ophelia" models that show an eastward movement that could knock out power in the D.C. area for, oh, say 6 to 8 weeks? That would be such a blessing.

I only wish all high school students in America could watch these past few days of hearings in total.I couldn't agree more. My wife taught for 15 years. She said last night that John Roberts makes the law easy to understand. That he speaks the same language most of us do.
