Several of the Senators 'read' questions. You could almost tell that those were staff-prepared, because the Senators had no idea what the question asked, nor whether Roberts' response was appropriate.

It is all a game. The Senators are just sucking TV face time.

Biden asked one question that rambled on for 8 minutes. Then he accused Roberts of filibustering when he cut Roberts' response short after Roberts said about 8 words.

Dems are playing to their leftist constituents. Some from both parties are playing to their future Presidential bid, anticipated for 08.

Roberts is Ward Cleaver being lectured by an idiotic cadre of Eddie Haskells. Where's Miss Landers when you need her? Did Uncle Ted drown her too?

What I saw and heard yesterday convinced me that these lifetime senators should have term limitations just as the presidency does.

What I saw and heard yesterday from these lib attack dogs was silliness and posturing...scary to know that they are even THERE making laws for all of us.

What I saw and heard yesterday was an unflappable man w/credentials of intellect and character that more than qualifies him to be Chief Justice who faced trial by fire and was not even scorched.

Did all of you pick up on that question of Durbans last night?

He asked him about a document Roberts was suppose to have written some comments on in 1982.

Roberts told him that he was barred from giving his views on the issue in 1982, because it was within the 2 year time frame which would exclude him from comments.

Durban waved the paper in his hands and then said that he did not want to blindside him and would wait until today to give him a chance to respond.

When Spector asked Durban what the number of the document was so it could be placed in the record, Durban said there is no number.

WTH all government documents have number identification. Was Durban using planted documents???

It was such a thing of beauty to watch. I've re-arranged my schedule today, because I want to see all of it! Yesterday I missed the last few hours, so I missed watching Chuckie Schumer. I predict that by the time the questioning gets back to him today, he will be in full moonbat wail mode.

It would be nice if the Republicans would take their questions verbatim from those the Senate panel democrats asked Ruth Buzzy. If any objections to the softball nature of any such questions, the Republicans should be ready with immediate excerpts from the Buzzy hearings and expose the partisan nature of their questioners.

For those who did not hear Schumer, he used the words, "I, me, and my" 67 times.

It was a battle of wits, and the Dems came armed with spitballs.

It was such a thing of beauty.

And so is your characterization. President Bush really knows how to choose high quality candidates, doesn't he?

DURBIN: There appears to be another memo, which I'm going to send to you, dated September 29th, 1982, with your handwriting in it, relative to this same issue. And I don't want to surprise you with it. I'll send it to you, and if tomorrow we get a chance, we can revisit it.

Let me ask you this...

SPECTER: Senator Durbin, may we have the numbers there? The staff needs those in order to track them for the record.

DURBIN: I'd be happy to. This is dated September 29th, 1982.

SPECTER: And it has a number on it?

DURBIN: No number, but we'll give you a copy.

SPECTER: OK. Thank you.

DURBIN: We'll share it with the judge. I want you to have -- this is not a surprise, I just want you to take a look at it.

Want to bet Durban does not revisit it, so a doubt is left in the air regarding the document. Someone from the R side better address it today.

He wasn't on vacation all summer was he? He went on vacation while the country is at war? Was he still on vacation when the hurricane hit? My God, how irresponsible!
