Hello! I wanted to see what everyone thought about this. What does everyone think about the possibilities the John Roberts is not a Constitutional conservative, like Thomas and Scalia, and turns out to be a closet liberal like kennedy and souter, or a moderate who sides with liberals instead of the intent of the Constitution like OConner? This has been discussed here a lot Im sure, but there are LOTS of posts here now. :) So far, I havent seen or heard a thing that would make me think he would not be a conservative Constitutional Justice, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks. I frankly feel he will be as conservative as anybody on the court, and is being non-specific for valid reasosn, which I'm sure are quite obvious. He doesn't want the Dems to go ballistic.
Bush wouldn't have nominated him if there was a question as to his leanings. Bush did his homework on this, and knows exactly what he is getting, ergo, the quick decision to nominate him for Chief Justice.

Like the rest of the Democrat minions.
Chuck wanted to know John's opinions.
Chuck gave out an insult,
Got a boomerang result,
And now we're all sure Chuck's the dim one.

Biden is horrendous! But looking at some of the posts from earlier today they are saying Shumer was worse. I'm going to tune in for the whole replay....... If I was Roberts I'd say ''Kibuki this'' Biden,'' and do something , well lets just say I would never make it through one of these sessions.....

Do I dare listen? I think not. I have already spent too much time here. Best to watch O'Reilly "with" husband. :)

Lookie here:
Exclusive Drudge sources in the U.S. Senate's Hart Building heard Democrat Sen. Joe Biden say to Judge John G. Roberts in a private conversation on the hearing room floor: 'You're the best I've ever seen before the committee'... Developing

Doesn't matter...the dembos are going to do everything possible to delay delay delay....if they weren't scared of the nuke option...they'd filibuster him...wish they would...the nuke option would take place...the next nominee then could be Brown...and we could get her on the supreme court too.

is not vanity one of the seven deadly sins?I'm a tad short in my knowledge of the entire seven. But I think vanity and greed are two of them. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can help us out.
It's a crying shame you and your fellow New Yorkers have two crooks as Sinators. Not good for America, either.

The seven deadly or cardinal sins are lust (luxuria), gluttony (gula), avarice (avaritia), sloth (accidia), anger (ira), envy (invidia) and pride (superbia).
Vanity is a subset or little brother of pride.

Perhaps he may slip it in as he takes the blame for Katrina.

President Bush will not name the replacement for Sandy O'Connor until after Judge Roberts is confirmed on the floor of the Senate.
Why do people have trouble understanding that?

"Coburn is EXCELLENT, isn't he? This is my first look at him."Coburn makes me proud I was able to do my part, as small as it may be, to send this man to the Senate! I missed it live and just now watching what I missed on the replay.
