Aqua and Maggie, y'all did a stupendous job. St. Augustine is a city of romance, after Charleston, I believe the most historic city in the country. Of course you must remember this, I am prejudiced towards Charleston.

What a treat!

Aqua, my husband and I were in St. A, and saw the fort...everything...back in March. Perfect weather, too!

Thank you, thank you for the memories and the thread!

Best to all this day...

Interesting.

I agree that DC is best seen at a distance by boat! I've heard Western Canada is amazing, although I've never been there. I wonder how many of the Indian prisoners survived when it was a prison.

Bookmarking this thread for a refuge I have known and loved as a Floridian. What a fine tribute to such an endearing place as St. Augustine! Many thanks for sharing.

Anger Or Applause?

Read:
Jonah 3:10-4:11

Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented. —Jonah 3:10

Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 12-14

cover How do we react when God shows mercy to people we think deserve punishment? If we are resentful, it may indicate that we have forgotten how much the Lord has forgiven us.

After Jonah followed God's second call to preach His coming judgment on Nineveh (Jonah 3:1-4), the people of the city turned from their evil lifestyle, so the Lord did not destroy them (v.10). God's mercy made Jonah angry. He told God he had been afraid this would happen, and that's why he fled to Tarshish in the first place. "I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, . . . One who relents from doing harm" (4:2).

But the Lord said to Jonah, "Should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons?" (4:11).

God's marvelous grace is greater than all our sin. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). Because of His grace to us, we should "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave [us]" (4:32).

Instead of being angry when God is merciful, we should applaud. —David McCasland

What love the Father has bestowed on me!
For this I cannot help but thankful be;
I read His Word, His promises embrace,
And daily praise Him for His matchless grace. —Hess

We can stop showing mercy to others when Christ stops showing mercy to us.

Things wreak of corruption and coverup, Lenny Roberto and I are putting together a lawsuit and complaint with the New York State Board of Elections.

There is NO reason all my precints have not reported yet.
#1, they could be witholding the numbers because in those numbers I am over the top and beat the endorsed candidate.

If I don't demand the numbers and concede they will leave them as is and my opponent will win.

This is how bad this county is and that is no lie or exaggeration. 3 of our other candidates have 80% of their ballots as paper and they refuse to count them till next week. A clear violation of NYState election law. They are and can be charged with a felony.

We filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and awaiting response from them, will they respond? Good question.

So we are taking this to the media, right now Lenny is being interviewed by channel 4 and will be on at noon.
He and I will be working on this, this afternoon.

BTW Lenny is the founder and I am the co-founder of http://www.PrimaryChallenge.org
We started the tax revolt in Erie County and they don't like it at all.

A rosary powered helicopter, for all you flying Catholics in the forum.
I really love the Thomas Kinkade style graphics Aquamarine, and I appreciate how much work and time they must take to accomplish. They're just beautiful. It's nice to know that, despite all the media attention on art anarchists and their ugly exhibitions, that Kinkade is still the most recognized artist in the country.

Finally got back here and thoroughly enjoyed this post! Kudos to both of you for the good job on this. This was a time and locale in history that I was not very familiar with. I had no idea that Spain played such an important role in our winning the Revolutionary War. (Even though I love U.S. history, there are still gaping holes in my knowledge of certain periods.)

Now, I must see this fort, Castillo de San Marcos, and the charming St. Augustine. Jk and I did see Fort Moultrie (mentioned in your post) while we were visiting Charleston last year. At least I HAVE been there!

Thank you both for this post and for the long hours of work that went into it. Finest hugs to two very special people....((((((((Aqua/Ladyx))))))))
