The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Indeed.
They believe this is free campaign time.
Truth is that there is a rare moment of agreement between most Americans on the Senate and it's roll card of persons. We despise them, with one or two exceptions on each side. We actually have unity here among conservatives, Liberals and the rest! We don't like the Senate. LOL
So they think they are getting free time to preen before their constituents. Uh-uh. We're getting free time to expose how most of these people are mental lightweights. Americans can discern the real thing when given the comparison. I thank the Senators for providing the comparison.
ROFLMAO.
I'm so glad you said that! I totally agree. RINO is tossed around here whenever a vote goes against a particular poster's desire.
I prefer RWR's view = he'd rather have senators who vote with him 60-70-80 percent of the time, than NONE of the time.
Viva defconw! I'm proud of you. When can I get free pizza?
I'm office bound, so I can't see the hearings. Is DeWine saying anything notable, or just wasting time?
I like DeWine's questions so far. Protesting at this time is difficult. Dewine just mentioned the "Shrinking Public Square" is a great question.
My friends and I have debated this issue many times. Because of the Patriot Act and other reasons public speaking is followed by police intervention or very mean people.
DeWine's pornography question is good also. Their should by a .PRN with a blocker of the .PRN or other .extension in your browser.
Over all good questions.
Is she any relation to Lucy Babaloo Blanco?
Leni
Not seem like much? Hah! Wait till you start dealing with all of the personnel problems, customer problems, supplier problems--you're going to be working very hard indeed, and increasing even more your diplomatic and problem-solving skills. Congratulations, and best of luck to you.
You're one smart poster! Let's learn which of the JC's senators are up for reelection in '06. HA!
That would be consistent with dems...the idiot Senator from Colorado, also campaigned by saying he wouldn't filibuster judicial nominees...and yet the first one to come up...he was right there with the other dems, ready to filibuster!
Dewine not as weak as I feared.
March zem to die gulags..now!!!!
Hear! Hear!
Peacocks on parade.
Photoshoped eyes?? He has brilliant BLUE eyes.... not teal green.
Thanks Bah,
My uncle is missing too, he works off a rig in LA.
? You mean you're following DeWine's questions? I can't.
As soon as I am a manager give me 18 months!
