Please forgive any errors.
Rush is about to discuss her remarks in the next segment. Wanted to add the ping.
[The following is just my 2 Cents]
Yesterday was no ordinary day. It was the fourth anniversary of 9-11-01. A day for reverence. A day to ponder infamy. A day to remember the victims families. And a day to honor America's heroes.
Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu made an outrageous remark on the fourth anniversary date of 9-11-01. I AX this question: did she insult 9-11-01 heroes on the fourth anniversary of 9-11-01?
Yesterday, Sunday, she said, "Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane."
What an insult to government workers, the bulk of America's remaining unions, and one of the strongest bases of the democrat party. What an insult to all the heroic government workers in the city of New York, many of whom are [or were] 9-11 heroes.
I AX you: what do other senators think? Does Hillary agree with her, for example? Does Hillary think that the government workers in New York, for example, deserve that venomous insult? What about Chuckie Schumer? Does he agree? And Lousyburg from New Jersey, for that matter? AND SHOULD THE SENATE CONDEMN HER?
What an insult to the heroes of 9-11-01--- ON THE ANNIVERSARY!
[My two cents as in Arthur's freep-remarks]
Maybe she should punch herself in the mouth.
Rush talking about her now.
Rush is nailing this!
She would miss.
literally
Rush is asking if this is the 'soft bigotry of low expectations?'
Landrieu dodges
Her answer was ridiculous
Rush is playing this clip now. He is laughing saying if a white Senator or white Governor of the Republican party said this the "racist" comment would be blasting her.
She is implying that the black employees won't work even on a sunny day. Imagine if Trent Lott had said this?
What a disgrace this Landrieu woman is. Let us ensure that her remarks are not forgotten.
"Those cops and firefighters probably would have stayed home if it had been raining and whatnot. < /sarcasm >"
Thank you. It is an insult to our nation's heroes. I imagine there are heroic bus drivers, too-- all across the country, and even in NOLA.
Having a hard time getting the people to work on a sunny day describes traffic snarls, accident response, etc.
Plus, it is just like a liberal to think of the entire population as "theirs."
All LA politicians are reading from the same script--CYA
"and it's all Bush's fault ..."
Is it just me, or do others see the once fairly attractive Mary Landreau looking more, and more, like the Hidabeaste in appearance as she grows older and more liberal?
Her comment was dumb, but Newsmax, in Newsmax fashion, took the line out of context. She meant that because of the "Bush budget cuts" to mass transit, cities couldn't transport their people to work on a good day, no less move people during a hurricane. She's still an idiot making an idiotic comment, but Newsmax' staff either has a comprehension problem or is deliberately trying to foster a false understanding of what she said.
