Does anyone have a video tape of FOX News coverage on 9-11, 2001, one that starts with the tape just shortly before the attacks on the WTC took place, or a tape that started immediately after they first started coverage. I really want a tape of that to watch every 9-11, especially to show my kids when they're older, so they can better understand what happened, by being able to sit and watch it as though it was happening live. If anyone has a tape of this, or knows where I can get one. Please let me know. Or if FOX News has them for sale, please let me know where at FOX to contact. Especially since it's been 4 years now, and the liberal media and democrats want to forget 9-11 as soon as possible, since it's not an election plus for them. Thank you.
Allen.
There was a website that showed all of the networks coverage on 9/11, even international networks like the BBC, but I think it was taken down since then.
It isn't a tape but we should all read over the FR threads from time to time. On the Second Plane Flies Into The Other Tower thread Catspaw simply posts at 9:09:58 Osama bin Ladin http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/620413/posts
* bump *
Hey I didn't even think about that! Thank you! I'm going to go read that thread. That would be a good thing to print out and keep. Thank you!

Amazing threads. Gosh it made me feel like it was four years ago and I was reading it while it was unfolding. Very eerie. There are sure some very prophetic and accurate statements that were made that day in those threads. Chilling and sad and really powerful. I'm sure glad people here made sure they were permanently archived. Hope there are many back ups of them so the can't ever be lost.
I have been reviewing them myself. There are other archives as well and links that can keep you reading for a very long time. What surprised me was I found I posted a couple of times (#s 18 and 23) on the Second Tower just went!!! thread and while almost everyone has vivid memories I had completely forgotten I had done so. It was such an emotional morning that some of it has blanked out for me.
As long as there is an FR those threads will remain. In the relatively short history of Free Republic you will not find more dramatic threads than those.
Amazing urls, and that pictures is really gripping. Can I use that on my site? Too many people in the U.S. have forgtten because they want their precious spoiled rotten lives back, and 9-11 just is too "depressing" for them. It HAS to be remembered. Thank you for the info you posted. Good job.
Appreciate the kind words-- I can't see any reason why you can't use it-- it seems to be public domain.
The only thing I've got that is'nt easy to find elsewhere is the SOUND of the towers coming down.
For some reason that dos'nt get included in the specials.
Yes totally unbelievable and captivating. I can sure understand your forgetting you posted in there yourself. I mean, I didn't even think to tape the news till 7 that night. I just was totally shut down and all I could do was stare at the tv and cry. I ended up going over for the day with my family because I was so bothered by it all. Sitting in my apartment alone (wasn't married then) was too overwhelming. Those threads here on FR are priceless. Unbelievably sad, but so captivaging. The past couple hours all I can do is sit and read them with my hand to my mouth. Thank God for the people who managed to post during the attacks so that a real time accounting was made. I was surprised to see a couple flaming jacka$$ liberals making assinine statements, kneelbeforezod and a couple other pathetic liberals, almost glad it happened so they could attack Bush. Very sick! I'm glad freepers shut them down. Hopefully they were banned. Their comments were so totally inappropriate and sick.
Thanks. That's a really good picture. I put a thing I made a couple years ago up on top of my website. I try to do that every 9-11 for a week or so. http://rocketfett.tripod.com . Too many people get complacent too easily.
Thank you for that link. That looks like another one I want to get. Thank you.

I didn't start watching until the about 10 mins before the second plane and don't remember exactly what Fox said but within seconds of the first plane, David Asman (I think) said that it had to be bin Laden.
Yes I believe I remember it was David Asmuth (I think that's the sp) all day also. I really like and trust him. His son is a Marine that has served in Afghanistan and possibly by now, Iraq. I'll never forget when he was talking to charles rangel, jerk congressman democrat from NY State. And after rangel said that only minorities with no influence have kids serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Asmuth got right in his face and said "Excuse me, but my son is a Marine serving in Afghanistan and he's neither a minority or without influence in his family, and he volunteered", something like that, and rangel could only say "well, he's an exception to the rule". That was really priceless. I am looking forward to getting those DVDs from that company I found. I don't think I could sit through them straight because they're so sad and infuriating seeing what was done to this country, but it's so important to have that on video media so it can't be covered up and forgotten. My children WILL know what it was like when that happened, and WILL know just how terrible it was, so they can challenge anyone who says the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were not justified. liberal revisionist history won't claim my kids as casualties someday. Not while I'm breathing.
That is one of the most amazing pictures of the WTC I have ever seen. And overall, a very nice collage too.
Your best bet now seems to be to dig around http://www.september11news.com/ or http://www.911digitalarchive.org/. Another source which is often a good first place to look for an amazingly diverse range of stuff (everything from old Betty Boop cartoons to nuclear weapons tests) is http://www.archive.org/.
