I wonder what he told to spare him jail time.

Probably something like, "Your honor, here is a copy of a file Hillary gave me with YOUR name on it..."

P.S. - Grammar police out there, please help me out. Should it have been "Your Honor," or was the way I did it correct?

We are few and far between, but the numbers are growing slightly.

At least my Congressman is a Conservative, and Warren County went Red in the election!!

This is nearly as much of a farce as the 9/11 Commission. What will it take to clean up Congress and our judicial system? In light of what has happened in LA and the reporting/blaming as a result of Hurricane Katrina, I think we will have to live in this political and media stench for a very long time. I suspect the best we can hope for is that it doesn't get worse.

He's GUILTY ? What was his plea ?

He pleaded guilty in April, initial sentencing was set for July 8 and was postponed. One part of the deal (prosecution recommended $10,000 fine and one year probation) was to cooperate.

Cooperate with what? One would guess about others involved in the scheme. The postponement of the July date led to speculation about possible ongoing investigation pertaining to any cooperation.

Then the judge today still found (as she rightly should have) the prosecution recommendation too lenient.

Good. Get the hell out.

If you can't understand that Berger sold our country down the river and deserves JAIL time then you don't belong here anyway. Is that adult enough for you?

It was 10,000 before so at least the judge upped it.
