Miranda goes on to speculate, naming Edith Jones, Priscilla Owen, Janice Rogers Brown, Maura Corrigan, Emilio Garza, Danny Boggs, Raoul Cantero, Jeff Sessions, John Cornyn, Mel Martinez, Larry Thompson, Ted Olson, and Douglas Ginsburg.

Janice Rogers Brown. She was confirmed not that long ago. She is a minority. She is a woman. She is conservative.
She would be the best candidate to cause the constitutional option.
I can see it now!

Wont be JRB. She was fillibustered for 4 years and painted as the most deranged right-wing whacko by the Dems. They would just pull out all the old, tired arguements why they need to stop her again. Long fight. Big mess. If its a woman, my guess would be one of the Ediths. My hope would be Luttig. My nightmare scenario is W's buddy Gonzo, but I don't think that will come to pass. If he ever does get the nod, it will be to fill Ginsberg's or Powell's seat.

What happened to Edith Clement? Are you kidding? A dingbat on the SC? (We already have Ruth Bader Ginsburg and one dingbat is enough)
