I am a lawyer and consider myself to be rather conservative, both fiscally and socially, although some of our third party bretheren have accused me of being quite the opposite.

I found FreeRepublic back in early 1998. I lurked for 10 months before signing up and posting. I signed up solely to post a reply to a comment on a thread. I can't remember the thread, or the comment that got me so riled up that I broke from lurking mode to full blown member, but I'm glad that I found it.
