Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""

.....now we know, as we've always known before, why the RATS were so eager to pounce on President Bush, as they've done since the year 2000. Whenever the RATS doeth protest too much, look behind their attacks..

I stand corrected, Bush= 5 MSM= 0, awesome.

You mean they left the elderly and infirmed on their own to die? Please say this isn't true. I smell lots of lawsuits and they may well be warranted in this case.

I'm thinking criminal negligence. Lawsuits aren't enough, the individuals who did this and the Mayor and the Governor need to be held criminally responsible.

I heard the story again this morning, and apparently the caregivers left after they were told (I don't know from who) there was a "planned rescue" for the residents, but it never came. I have no idea who was supposed to be in charge of that one, but you can bet we will hear more of it later.
I personally hope that not one of those so called "caregivers" have a decent night sleep for the rest of their lives. My sister - in - law is a state inspector of nursing homes, and if you could hear the stories of some private nursing homes (where most of the families of the elderly are never seen), you would be appalled.

Thanks for the ping Calpernia. I had not seen this. Unbelievable.
To: sola_fide
There was a thread started this morning about Blanco assigning all the blame to Nagin. If I see the thread pop up again, I will ping you there too.

The rap on her even before her election was that she was indecisive. Her defenders said she was deliberate. Well, the people have reaped what they sowed. They can see what happens when their governor deliberates when the devil is at the door.

Someone needs to push for her recall or resignation. If she isn't qualified to handle the disaster plan outlined for her state, surely she isn't qualified to handle the reconstruction. Bye-bye Blanco.
To: lawdude
With you on that lawdude. The personal irresponsibility and complete breakdown into lawlessness I've witnessed has eroded my compassion daily.
Looks to me like they should have let the pets into the Superdome and kept the real animals out. And even then it would have been cleaner in there.
