Sean Penn bales water out of a boat with a plastic cup as he and members of his entourage make an attempt to rescue stranded people in New Orleans.
If Sean Penn is such a do-gooder I suggest he take about ten families home with him. Bet he won't.
I thought the earlier reports were wrong and it was a life jacket. That does look like a bulletproof vest.
Go to the middle of the page (under the picture of the girl tending the baby) and read about Sean F.A.G. Not a word about the boat sinking. But you'll find out where he was going.
Thanks, it is a work in progress.
.He was there specifically to find some friends of his who he thought might be trapped in their apartment.
Period.
He refused to name the friends....but that's why he was there.
Yeah...the boat was apparently already full of his own entourage including a personal photographer.
They forgot to put the drain plug back in the boat AND the motor wouldn't run. Is that who the people of New Orleans would want to rescue them? I think not. Go back to your mullahs in Iran Sean.
Crazy on a ship of fools.
When I first read this yesterday, I REALLY thought it was a joke! I still cannot believe this is true, but it sure looks to be true according to the photo. IF it is true,....what a freaking moron! Why didn't he come in a NICER, bigger boat with at least a trolling motor?
'Star power on the Hurricane Katrina help line ratcheted up a notch over the weekend when Sean Penn arrived in Houston with ambitious plans to charter a jet to fly to New Orleans and aid in the rescue of evacuees.
Friday night, Penn, Fox News' Greta Van Susteren , writer and professor Doug Brinkley of New Orleans and Daniel Schiller, a Houstonian who had plans to open a restaurant in New Orleans, head-huddled over drinks at the Four Seasons Hotel.
The Four Seasons has served as unofficial headquarters for the Fox network team.'

'Last night Hollywood star Sean Penn joined the desperate search for hurricane survivors in New Orleans.
The frantic actor begged rescue crews to take him out to a house owned by pals near the 17th Street Canal. He had not heard from them since the area was flooded by up to 20ft of water.
Mystic River hunk Sean, 45, refused to name his friends, but said he could not bear watching rescues from his San Francisco home, knowing they could be dying.
He said: Im really worried. I need to go out and find them.
Rescuers ferried him to the canal area.
They insisted he wear a bullet-proof vest fearing he may be shot by local gangs who refuse to be evacuated. '

Ol' Barnacle Spicoli sails again!
Hey, if that really is a kevlar vest, I think that should be known, far and wide.
Raw material on the hoof.
This isn't about patting everyone on the back for what they are doing. I have done a lot too. I just don't like to see anyione slammed on here that is trying to help, especially the ones who have gone down and seen the misery. I don't care about his pilitical affiliation right now. This isn't about politics either. He was trying to help.
And no I don't have anymore questions Sally. Do you?
When I see you picture in the paper pulling people off their rooftops with Sean Penn I will know that you are doing something.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
Im sure that is the handle of an outboard trolling boat. What i was interested in was the right foot there and no left foot showing, so either the guy is doing a heck of a splits or he has his left foot in the water. Im thinking that it is in the water and he is pushing the boat along in shallow water with his foot. There is just something fishy about the cut of the picture. It is a small part of a larger picture and im sure the photographer wanted to make sean penn look as good as he could, and putting that foot in the water with the water probably being only two feet or so deep would make penn look more the idiot than he does now.
Ha, i have seen the other pics and now know i was wrong. they had a full outboard motor sitting up on the side of the boat, not a trolling motor. The fat guy with the shoe has his foot crunched up by his leg, and it is obvious that there is no room in that boat for anyone else. These idiots are absolutely not worth our efforts of seeing them or listening to them.
I will be sending no money to this debacle. I will already be paying for it at the pump and through taxes, but i'll be da$%ed if i will give a penny to supporting the rebuilding of an underwater city full of criminals and fools. The mayor and governor should have evacuated those people, the hollywierd folks should have just given money and not showed up. They are nothing but misery pimps.
Help is on the way was Bush Cheney slogan, meaning tax cuts. That idiot kerry just changed help to hope.
