U.S. commercial air carriers continue transporting tens of thousands of evacuees from the New Orleans airport to destinations throughout the nation.

Rooftop air rescue efforts continue. One rescue chopper crashed late today. Crew members are reported safe. Gunmen who fired upon bridge repair contractors were killed by law enforcement.

To date, an estimated 70 countries and U.S. businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars, supplies, food and equipment to assist the United States' efforts in Katrina's aftermath. Lt. General Honore described the damage to Mississippi today, "all infrastructure south of Jackson, MS is either damaged or destroyed." Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice visited the devastated areas, and attended Sunday church services in Mobile, Alabama.

Elsewhere, Sean Penn's rescue boat, sans plug and full of his personal entourage, reportedly sank during launch in New Orleans. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) threatened to punch President Bush, and Jefferson Parish President Broussard decried that the bureaucracy of FEMA has committed murder.

Streaming Video:

All information is subject to change. Many stations are relying on their corporate parents to configure and maintain Internet streaming. Because of the intense interest in the feeds, they may be unavailable at times because of network congestion or a problem feeding the video to the streaming servers.

WWL-TV New Orleans - WWL-TV is operating from studios at Louisiana Public Broadcasting. CBS has a relay during the morning and afternoon. When available, use the CBS relay first as they have greater streaming capacity. They have a secondary stream from Yahoo. WWL-TV is also offering a special low-bandwidth audio-only stream for dial-up users.

WDSU-TV New Orleans - The news staff has started to return to temporary news studios near New Orleans. However, expect evening coverage from Hearst-Argyle sister stations WAPT Jackson and WESH Orlando when the New Orleans staff needs to take a break.

WGNO-TV New Orleans - New Orleans' ABC affiliate has returned to the air with WBRZ-TV and launched video streaming with continuous Katrina coverage.

WPMI-TV Mobile, AL - WPMI is webcasting from 5:30am - 10:30pm CDT. When off air, you can view pre-recorded reports on demand. This feed is often unreliable.

WKRG-TV Mobile, AL - This station is providing good coverage of the situation to the east in Mississippi and Alabama. However, the station is now signing off at around 10:30pm CDT like WWL and WPMI.

WJTV-TV Jackson, MS - The CBS affiliate in Jackson is providing live coverage for both the Jackson area and south Mississippi (knowing a lot of media in that area is off the air).

WFAA-TV Dallas, TX - WFAA-TV is here because Dallas is one of the evacuation cities.

United Radio From New Orleans: WWL-AM, WNOE-FM, "KISS-FM," WRNO-FM, WYLD-FM, and WJBO-AM (Clear Channel & Entercom) who have joined forces as United Radio From New Orleans, and they are streaming.

Gulf Coast Storm Network (Clear Channel Radio) - Clear Channel offers radio listeners across the gulf coast access to a simulcast emergency radio service. This service seems primarily focused on Alabama and Mississippi, but does cover Louisiana to some degree.

I know. He even has a big old tatoo on his bicep. During Vietnam he was working as a DJ on some rock station in Boston. No military experience that I believe.

All of the states that are taking in "refugees" are on that list...

It means Texas will get federal $$$$$$$ in aid for the people they have "adopted"...that is good news. It means some of the tax dollars we will be spending will be coming back to our state.

Short news conference by Brown, Cherkoff and Honore. Answered questions from reporters and C said would take only one more. That one went to Honore.

To answer semom's question, the conference announced that both the state and feds are to be located together in the LA emergency response center. Said they're all professionals and will work side by side. Feds responsible for rescue, recovery; state responsible for LEO, security. Working together supposed to eliminate problems of command. Do you believe it? I don't! (Don't

they ARE hiding something; and it's not anything to do with this storm. It's something that was going on before.

I am as convinced of this as I can be without laying my eyes directly on the evidence. There is no way you would be scrambling to keep the Feds out with a then Cat 5 headed your way.

Honore reminds me of Tommy Franks. Franks was always looking for creative ways to protect his soldiers. His book was awesome!

I thought it was *interesting* that Sid (Hillary's buddy) Blumenthal crawled out from under the woodwork all of a sudden early last week and figured they were starting to set the Pres up then - didn't want him to get the approval ratings, etc. he did after 9/11 - it's been non-stop Bush-bashing since then by the Dims and their compatriots in the MSM.

it was reported that pilot and co-pilot were injured (extent unknown).

If it was me, I wouldn't tell the press what happened either - especially having seen what the FAA does to people who make a statement before they do an investigation.

"LOL, Chertoff had begun to take another question when the general turned and walked off. Chertoff just smiled and said "I'm going with him" and left. LOL!"

] Wasn't that fantastic? I swear that was the best press/nay sayers busting that I have EVER seen. I love General Honore!!

I watched the whole thing. It was Jindal that made the original comment.

Jindal was on Tony Snow's show this morning when he was whining and complaining about the Feds. He was talking this morning about victims being told they need to email requests in.

Honore, in his wonderful rant said something about first responders somehow getting emails from people that tell them where to come help them.

I've always thought our 2008 candidate for POTUS would probably be an unknown who will emerge. Barbour/Honore 2008? Honore/Barbour 2008?

Let OReilly interview Honore. Let's get some no spin zone going on with Honore.

Let O'Reilly go a week or two out on a limb. He didn't give the Swifties a fair shake. Once O'Reilly picks his side, he either advocates for it, or doesn't bring it up.

Honore can get a better venue than O'Reilly's tabloid program.

Jindal was thought by many to have a solid chance at Governor again, or very least edge up to the leadership near Delay 10-15 from now. Now? he's through. Just another hack politician. I'm sure he may keep his job and get nice assignments, but he's BLOWN ever being a figure like Delay on the scene.

I've got a question for you, RTINSC. I can't figure out how the school buses would have left the city; there was a traffic problem going out of town. I remember vividly seeing the cars waiting for hours trying to leave.

Thanks for input
