New Orleans Mayor Suggests CIA May Take Him Out Over His Criticism of Federal Efforts (CNN)
CNN TV ^ | 3 August 2005 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 09/03/2005 2:59:43 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

On CNN just now. New Orleans Mayor Nagin, apparantly stressed out, in interview segment, said he has been yelling at the President and the Governor, and for all he knows, the "CIA could wipe me out". (Paraphrase) Just now.

Turning into a strange, macabre show now. Blame continues, spiraling out of control. Sad. It even raised CNN's eyebrows a bit.(5:57 p.m. Eastern/4:57 p.m. Central)

Well if the Fed is supposed to take command of NO because it's a total cluster f--- wouldn't the first thing be to remove the Mayor from his command NO because he is the head cluster f---er...

I don't think the Fed can legally fire a local Mayor or a State Governor because they are elected locally... so a CIA hit might be viably solution....

Maybe Pat Roberson should call for the CIA to take the NO Mayor out

He is trying to latch on to some kind of 'victim' status to save his 'bacon'.

I was thinking that he politically is a Democrat.

Can these two thought trains actually be compatible?

A victim out to save his bacon and being a Democrat at the same time?

being from Louisiana, when I was growing up the absolute worse thing you could say to someone during a spat was "they should put you in Pineville!"...lol

I mean, the absolute insult!! (Where do the criminally insane go?)

"General ragin cajun is in control and all will be well....or else."

What is the name of that army general? I'm kind of impressed, but still don't know his name. I know he commanded 2nd ID in Korea.

Can't the city council just remove the guy for mental instability and incompetence?

Berlin Air Lift/Bay of Pigs - they both start with a "B". Truman/Kennedy - they were both men.

"W" would have thrown him out of Marine One yesterday if he wanted him gone.
Nagin is valuable to the administration because he is the poster child of Democratic Incompetence.

Well, Bubba is raising money for the Katrina victims, and he said he would have assaulted Denny Hastert had he been in the same room with Hastert when Hastert said we should bulldoze New Orleans. I gotta wonder if Bubba's supply was affected by Katrina. Bubba was threatening the guy who is third in line to the presidency. I think the Secret Service ought to pay the guy a visit. Who does he think he is?

I have read so many threads this past week that the details elude me, but there was a thread on FR about it. Might try searching the title or keywords of Anderson Cooper and CNN. It was a few days ago. (Sorry so lame of a reply!)

You know Whorealdo just informed the American public that the Berlin Air lift occurred during the Kennedy administration!

Unless it's a repeat of this mornings utterance, no one informed him that he's wrong. He was watching the choppers landing at the Convention Center about 10 a.m. CDT when he said it this morning.

(aside -- WWL reporting only 300 remain to be evaculated from SD, but further reading a news report say they are the most unruly, homeless types breaking into concession stands for alcohol, etc. Now WWL blame-everyone-but-the-"victim" reporters saying it was because they have been there for so many days and have lost patience with no rescue. I suspect the remainder are behind for a reason -- looking for a place to put them where they won't cause more trouble. Further saying the first piece of mail the evacuees should recieve at their new Astrodome location is a "check not a bill" [barf!])

He probably found out sometime after Bush calmed him down that the BUS PICTURE has been on Drudge's site for two days now. Quite a damning piece of evidence."

Even if those school buses weren't road worthy enough for an eight hour run, they still could've used the buses to at least transport 20,000 people 2 to 3 hours out of harms way.""

They should have been FULLY roadworthy. School was to start the Monday that the storm hit, I think.

CNN, RIGHT NOW by contrast, showing a real leader now. LT GEN RUSSELL, a 'take charge guy'. It is great to see this only 35 years after Nagin's CIA quote and apparant flip out. CNN is showing a contrast!!

Nagan has been jonesin since last thursday. How do you explain Blanco?

The Dem's have lost their minds.

Nagan needs a straitjacket. Blanco should be

Before I saw the bus picture I was wondering about the public buses (I don't know the acronym for the NO Public bus system). There must have been thousands of public buses that could have been filled up and run out of town. Added benefit of not having the whole city fleet destroyed too.
