Members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Black Leadership Forum, National Conference of State Legislators, National Urban League, and the NAACP were critical of the relief effort for victims of Hurricane Katrina. All of whom would be silent at this moment had Katrina hit Maine.

When you watch the video that produced that still it shows that the president was walking up with his arm around a 12 year old girl. When the lady in the picture sees the expression of compassion on the president's face, she hugs him. You can't fake the expression of concern he must have had and she recognized it. This is a very good man. Once again we see how lucky we are to have him. Thank God the rats didn't steal 2000.

And just what has the NAACP or the Black Caucus contributed to this effort in terms of dollars, food, volunteers, housing, water, transportation? Where are they? Where are they?

It just hit me with full force this morning: In over five years of over-the-top vicious, poisonous, continuous publicly trumpeted assaults by the left not just on Bush's administration but
especially on Bush personally, I cannot recall a single instance where he lashed back in kind and displayed anything but graciousness, friendliness, and patience. Oh, after he was reelected, he did not return Spain's president Zapatero's perfunctory and hypocritical congratulatory telephone call, and he has reserved very firm and harsh words and even firmer and harsher deeds for terrorists, but that's it.
Bush is an extraordinary man, a model of decency, rectitude, and self-control despite the most galling and provocative abuse ever heaped on a president over such a sustained period. Many of us wish he'd roll up the sleeves and pound back. But he's wiser, I suppose.

Liberal's comment on President Bush's show of genuine compassion (something you never saw from Clinton) as follows (from dailyKos):
"I think Condi is going to be jealous (none / 1)
there was an awful lot of hugging and kissing going on there.
I swear to God when I see a man act like that to a traumatized woman he doesn't even know, bells go off:

I noticed the dearth of AP photos of President Bush comforting the residents of New Orleans yesterday. It was especially galling to me because I watched him live on ABC. He was hugging everybody regardless of race. Seems to me that AP and Reuters have a secret political agenda. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

And I suppose all the "good folks" who were carrying the TV's out of the stores were registered Republicans? Well, I must admit, at least they were showing some individual initiative instead of sitting around and squalling because the government teet took a couple of days to arrive. If they can't find their way out of their city without being herded on a free government bus, they're not likely to be able to bother to find their way to a polling place either.

Watched President Bush consoling many of the huricane victims and he just seems to care for each and every one of them. His Christian Humanity comes accross loud and clear.
The Dems and the rest of the hate mongers come accross like the vermin they are. Seems like they are gratefull for the suffering blacks, as it gives them ammunition for their attacks against President Bush.
