It just hit me with full force this morning: In over five years of over-the-top vicious, poisonous, continuous publicly trumpeted assaults by the left not just on Bush's administration but especially on Bush personally, I cannot recall a single instance where he lashed back in kind and displayed anything but graciousness, friendliness, and patience. Oh, after he was reelected, he did not return Spain's president Zapatero's perfunctory and hypocritical congratulatory telephone call, and he has reserved very firm and harsh words and even firmer and harsher deeds for terrorists, but that's it.

Bush is an extraordinary man, a model of decency, rectitude, and self-control despite the most galling and provocative abuse ever heaped on a president over such a sustained period. Many of us wish he'd roll up the sleeves and pound back. But he's wiser, I suppose.

It's going to take an incompetent Rat President for people to appreciate what we have now, I'm afraid.

The more shrill they get, the more he ignores them, and the more shrill they get.

A viscious circle, to be sure, but President Bush exposes them for what they are without stooping to their tactics.

The worst thing you can do to hatefull children throwing tantrums (in their mind, anyway) is to ignore them. They keep throwing worse until they tire and quit (or get spanked). Either way, they will mature--or not.

If the mouthpieces of the Democratic party cannot grow up and get over it, a multitude of up-and-coming new (young) voters will be able to see through this.

Most adults would be embarassed to be associated with this crap.

I have a hard time seeing how any decent person could buy into this rhetoric or stand to be associated with its purveyors and I fully believe it will cost them a chunk of their base and a lot of votes.

At the end of the day what matters is what you have accomplished not which petty disagreements you win.
Accomplishment does not include the leftist who have little to offer but bickering.

Which is why I truly admire this man (G.W.B.) and would like to be more like him myself.
