The translation (roughly) reads "Right now, happiness and sympathy are emotions that beat equally in my heart. I am happy that the latest hurricane disaster has not hit some poor country but the richest nation in the world.
Yes I can even see fair justice in what has happened to that country's citizens because of what they have done to other countries' citizens by means of the war in Iraq. However, I would be even happier if I could be sure that only houses of Bush-voters and military families had been hit. I feel sincere regrets for all the others" Monday: Susanne Lang about the Others

The sad thing is there are people in *America* who feel this way.
Arschloch.
Sickening - and I doubt most Germans feel this way.
If happiness beats in her heart, I don't want the sympathy its mixed with. She and her socialist paradise can drop dead.
The author needs to be completely ignored because she is crackers.
Another Saddam-lover. How curious and how sad.
Was this an editorial position or a letter to the editor?
If the paper takes this stand publicly they're vermin. If it's just one man's opinion, well, he's vermin.
Is the sauerkraut going bad over there?
I don't believe all Germans feel that way. Leaders get to dictate the impression the world has of their entire nation's attitudes. Iran is a good example. 75% of Iran is under 30 years old, most of whom love America.
Penis envy, thats all
Scheißkopf. Etc. ;)
'Fraid I got some bad news for ya, Suzie Sonshein.
I know not all Germans feel this way and I know that some still can't get over the fact we whooped their butt during world war 11..I also know we should close ever base we have in that country and just see how many of these arrogant SOB's get food on their tables...
Scheisskopf.
Shieskopf!...........
This writer embodies man's inhumanity to man and heartlessness.
If this was NOT the way the german pig-dogs felt about America, they would be our allies against satan's evil islamic empire. Instead they are no different in mind set as they were in the thirties and forties. Germany is a cess pool and unable to change!!!
If the last election in the US proved in 2004, is that as the left keep taking beatings due to their own behavior and failings, they more desprately they lash out with venom and hate.
They can never accept that they might be wrong about anything. Probably the biggest short-coming of a socialist/liberal is that they let themselves become so brainwashed in their self-rightousness, they are completely incapable of standing back and realizing when they are damaging themselves with their actions. Instead, they just lash out and blame everyone else.
The german woman is just an example of this. What she should be worried about is the economic mess their country is in due to their own socialist policies.
