Anybody watching Anderson Cooper now? He's losing it publicly, blasting Sen. Landrieu, saying she doesn't understand the pain of the New Orleans survivors. He seems traumatized by having witnessed a couple of dead bodies in the streets. Cooper seems like he's descending into madness.

That's about as maturely as she has behaved throughout this whole horror show - maybe she and other Dims are finally starting to realize where all this hysterical finger-pointing is going to lead, and that there will be plenty of blame to go around everywhere if some people in DC won't pull their heads out of their asses and start doing something that might actually help.
The media's totally out of control now, doing absolutely nothing but making this entire episode infinitely worse. The hysteria and tunnel vision that doesn't allow them to see anything but how to use this to get Bush is going to cause the situation in New Orleans to become completely irretrievable. Leaders from both parties, Democrat and Republican, need to tell them in no uncertain terms to cool it, or else they're going to have the military remove them from the scene until they grow up.
I have to say, I saw that and was VERY impressed with the DEMOCRATIC senator who seemed to understand what Anderson couldn't. That despite the wishes of everyone that relief come immediately, the fact is....they are working as FAST and HARD as they can. Anderson came off as a petulant whining child. I am sure he has seen horrible things, but he has no business being there if he can't keep his composure. The senator...who actually LOST everything including people she loves doesn't need a LECTURE from him.
I do like to watch it to find out what they are not reporting. Which by the way is everything you can expect they would.
Why do liberals always attack someones humanity to tout their "own"?
Why do people think Shep is gay? Believe in my profession I deal with lots of gays in the past, and Shep ain't anything close to that. I suspect the opposite, that's he's closer to being a womanizer.
Seriously.
That's EXACTLY what he was saying to her.
She's CLUELESS!
LOL! I'll bet Lorell was just as happy as can be to sit and soak up some AC on that bus.
Thanks for sharing that.
I never watch CNN either...but felt like I WAS watching CNN when I watched FOX and saw Bill Hemmer and some Gretchen babe. Gretchen was talking to a commander of the Louisiana National Guard and asked if they were "capable" of handling the law and order issues. THe commander said that they handle going to Iraq, so he was sure they could. She answered some smart remark like, "well, yes, but the people trained for this kind of mission are all in Iraq"
I don't expect her to be a conservative...but since she is a REPORTER, she should not be sounding like a Democratic operative....especially on FOX
Do you find him attractive? He comes across as a preener.
That's exactly right. They stopped reporting the news and are now creating it. They are setting up people to say what they want. It is totally out of whack. Of course it's a terrible situation, but with all the hand wringing, it doesn't hurt to hear some positive news. What the reporter wanted was simply to gin up a war between Dems and Repubs, not to report news in any way. At least this time Landrieu didn't fall for it.
And on Saturday, there was a thread in which people were really angry that all Fox was reporting about was the pending hurricane (rather than Cindy Sheehan counterprotest). That all looks pretty trivial now. Fox was correct to give these hurricane warnings. It's no telling how many lives were saved.
"Her comments were just as bad as the EPA administrator patting himself on the back yesterday for everyone working so hard to get the gasoline regulations scaled back. Whoop-de-freaking-do."
Huh? Did he NOT get the gas restrictions relaxed? Just what would satisfy your sanctimonious ass? Troll on, DU dick.
Was he? I saw the last part of the interview when she was thanking President Bush. It seemed to me that he was whining and trying to get her to blame the feds
It's been like this all day. Most of the media has had a collective breakdown.
They have been fighting tears and showing "dying babies " all day.
Seeing the crying mothers desperate for formula and water for their children at the Convention Center is beyond description.
Seeing the able bodied men helpless at the Convention Center is just as appalling.
The leadership at the state and local level has apparently collapsed.
Maybe Shep and Anderson with all their resources, could locate the nearest area for humanitarian supplies.
And then help organize a hand over hand human chain to bring the supplies back to the infants and children.
I don't care if the men have to walk 10 freaking miles through waist high ,alligator infested water-
there has to be a logistical way for the able bodied to do something to help the children, other than chant " Help, Help " for the cameras.
I saw Lorell. I thought he was priceless. An excellent example of a logical, thoughtful, and grateful young man, making the best of a terrible situation, not blaming anyone for this natural disaster. Giving credit were credit was due.
It just KILLED Wolfe Blitzer because Lorell was so positive.
I loved it, too.
You say, "Am I missing something here because every freeper seems to think Shep is flaming."
No you aren't - most of us don't think he is flaming - just a couple - who knows what sets people off . . . .
They *caused* the problem with their ridiculous environmental crap to begin with!
And, yeah -- I'm a DU troll, that has a registration date of a year earlier than yours (and this is the second account that I have had on FR)
