I hope the savages start shooting at the military and we get it all on film.
Armed U.S. civilians firing upon the American military on U.S. soil. Isn't that an insurrection?
My understanding is that such a thing would significantly change the level of response the military would legitimately be allowed to use.

I'm seeing some pretty tough looking military and law enforcement types wading around right now.

"The ACLU liberty ship, GUTLESS, crewed entirely by gays, homos and transgender sailors, is steaming backwards to the Gulf to monitor whether racial profiling of the entirely African-American cadre of looters prevails." Maybe they're headed for the Gulf to see if President Bush is working up another storm to add to their persecution.

Well, well.
This ought to pi$$ off quite a few Freepers and the entire DU squad.

Reporter wants to know 'why the federal government (Bush) didn't prepare for the storm'...Chertoff being very calm and trying to explain you can't "prepare" for such a storm with 48 hour notice... Congress just announced it will reconvene from summer recess to try and help the NO area (This should be good)... how to rebuild... estimate to rebuild now in years, not months...news conference with Gov. Bilanco (sp?) coming soon...

Perhaps this has already been brought up, but I'm of the opinion that every bank in NO should be completely destroyed now- before the criminal element there can get into them.

Obviously we need gun control..... not control of the thugs.... sarcasm, so don't have a cow

Outstanding. I suspect some regular military has been sent in to bat cleanup without a huge announcement that would unduly embarrass the local Donk Governor and Mayor.
Remember, she went easy on the looters for one reason: you don't shoot registered voters.

This is one of the very reasons why the US military wasn't just hap-hazardly dispatched to New Orleans...especially "because" of the looting and unrest. Besides the Possi Commotatus legalities, I'm sure there were several concerns over just how the military would have to deal with armed looters.
I can only imagine the reaction of these same groups had US soldiers started shooting US citizens. And this is precisely why the Louisiana Governor has a national guard at her disposal, which she failed to properly lead. This looting, that was even justified by those within Blanco's administration, has created an additional burden that has gotten out of hand because local law enforcement failed to immediately act.

I think it's spelled Blanko, in reference to her brain.

I say keep the Guard and law enforcement out. Let nature take its course. Then send the NY Slimes, and NE ivy leaguers to build a new utopia at their convenience.I actually like this idea...with people who don't want to be involved with the scum of the earth being allowed to leave first.
