Looter are armed gang situation worsening.
And it will all be Bush's fault...and then it will bounce back to Rove for letting Rove tell him to send Clinton.
hmmmmmmmmmmm Rove is an evil, evil man : )
2nd time he's had Clinton do relief work. I've got to say it, I'm sorry, is this some sort of 'community service' punishment that's being meted out? A new and better version of the Oil For Food program? Or is it Food for Oil?
Look at what Clinton does to my mind. LOL. Oh. No. Wait. Rove did it.
Clean clothes?
To be on the "safe side" w/blanco
at the helm, I'll stay away from
LA. In case of a disaster
going down.
I don't really feel free to discuss this subject. You've touched on some of the issues why I said what I did. I can't really clarify it futher even though I do beleive I have a powerful arguement to bring.
My comments were not a damnation of blacks. It was a damnation of policies that have had a devistating effect on them, a number of outher groups and our nation at large.
I can make the comments, but if people don't have the tools to comprehend what I'm saying, it's pointless. (...and I'm not refering to you.)
I appreciate the comments.
I agree that there are problems in black communities, and I think we agree on a lot of specific causes. But the one problem that doesn't exist is excess tolerance of minorities. I don't think anybody thinks the same thing wouldn't have happened had the storm only hit poor, disfunctional white communities in Appalachia or wherever.
I have noticed that anyone bringing up the subject is immediately condemned as a racist. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am not in any way shape or form a racist.
But facts is facts. There is big trouble in this country because of liberal policies, and the trouble in the black community is crystal clear evidence. It will not change unless and until policies change.
Of course, there are countless individuals who have not succumbed to the feral mentality. There are countless indidivuals who are responsible citizens. But the number of feral humans can't be ignored any more. To pretend that there is not a huge problem in the black community is to duct tape one's eyes shut. And the problem of feralism is not limited to any race. It's just deeper or more widespread in the black community. And it is NOT because black people are inherently less able in any way. The roots go way back, and if liberal policies had not been implemented starting the 60s we'd have a different country now.
I know you are not a racist either.
I DID NOT blame the black condition on tolerance. Please try to stick to the truth.
There are feral humans of every color. But the huge illegitimacy rate among black people is dooming them. If it doesn't turn around the future of this country is very dim. Among the population in general (in the US) it is about one third. ONE THIRD.
It's hell in the handbasket time if this doens't change. People don't realize that this is the most disturbing cultural trend right now. Family disintegration means feral humans who cannot take responsibility for themselves and prey on others.
"This is what happens to a culture where the kids know gangsta rap lyrics instead of the Ten Commandments. The government schools' war on Christianity reaps these shameful results"
very profound, saving for later reference.
I appreciate the additional comments. The things we're talking about are no-brainers. Everyone knows it. We all lament it. Okay, then why not talk about it out in the open and change it?
Oh well... you take care.
If this problem isn't thoughtfully addressed we all will have to deal with it eventually. We have a crisis brewing and we must be objective in how we handle it.
I agree with your premise BTW.
The family unit is the building block of this nation. Areas where the core family have disintegrated are excellent examples by comparison, with communites where families have remaind in tact.
Which is better for our nation?
Almost ANY truly private charity would do a better job than the Federal or even Local government, faith based, or not.
You know as well as I do that he was not talking about cultural diversity.
"...and may buy a firearm tommorrow".
Depends on where you live it seems: http://gun-auctions.officialauctions.com/us-state-gun-waiting-periods.phtml
Your right, there is no more 'home'. MizSterioius, aren't you somewhat in the fishbowl? Lest you think I'm unsympathetic, I'm surely not. Life as it was will never be the same. It's a harsh reality that no one will be going 'home' anytime soon. But it takes a while for all of it to settle in the mind.
I am so sorry. I watched our elderly give out from the stress. The elderly who had terrific support had a very hard time of it, emotionally. That is why, I suppose, I expressed my concern in an earlier post about the 'vulnerable'.
Help is on the way. We've got so many collections going on here, at our schools. Bedding at one, bleach at another, etc., etc., etc. We, here, went thru this in Fran, Floyd, etc, and owe a deep debt of gratitude through reciprocation. I went thru Alicia in Houston, also, pregnant (and later lost the baby a few months later). We had help more readily available help, fortunately. So many good people (near neighbors) were able to provide food and clean clothing and food was flown in thanks to Baptist Disaster Relief & NCNG. We had kinks, to be sure. Two weeks sleeping on the concrete slabs, with many weeks to go, until someone climbed all over our governor : ) and demanded to know why - when we were smack in the middle of the military bases - cots had not been requested. 300 were 'requested', got 500 overnight. And then he had the nerve to get MAD when FEMA stepped on his toes and sprayed for mosquitoes without his prior 'consent'. Our FEMA agent, who I worked closely with, was relocated posthaste. (I think somebody's bees died and they complained.) But we averted a big catastrophe with all the standing water. Someone needs to lock up the Governor of LA and the mayor of NO (who's already bailed, I understand).
Perhaps FEMA needs to drop some tanker trucks of bleach in that water and drill holes in it. Sounds stupid, but it might help.
Good luck to your folks, MizSterioius, and God bless you all.
I think they should have a bull horn with each helicopter or rescue boat. Then if they are fired upon the rescuers can announce that there will be no further assistance coming to the gunners. No food, no fresh water, no nothing. They can die there of a miserable disease.
The link I had is down now.
Because of the overwhelming response of this "Looters" column, I will be a guest on the Dori Monson show (KIRO Seattle) at 3pm EST and also the David Gold Show from Dallas (WBAP) around/after 9pm EST.
Bob
Applause!
