Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

Please explain how "debris" equals human bodies?

Yikes! Ok. I'll explain in simple language. They are all mixed together....debris and bodies, on the beaches. You wouldn't see some of the bodies until you were on top of them. If you've looked at pics, some areas of beaches look like huge garbage dumps.

"listening to Glenn Beck...father has called in who has a dtr in lock up in jefferson parish (?)...she is afraid they might not make it out alive....looters have sniper weaponry and are fighting off any help arriving...protecting their jewelry store turf....glenn has him on hold now..."

"If the caller says "Baba Booey," you (and Glenn) have been had."

What are you saying? And why? What is your point? His dtr is part of group of rescuers, called into the area...now fearful and holed up because of the weaponry laden thugs out on the street who have formed a barrier between those caught in the area, either storm victems or aid workers, preventing them from leaving.

Three observations:

1 - The leaders in those states seem absolutely inept. You know, after a disaster, you expect some positive statements - like everything will be fine - we have everything under control - etc. - but what you get are statements like, "This is our tsunami" or "We are overwhelmed" - and we've been getting false/misleading information, too. They were not prepared and they are showing a lack of leadership.

2 - I refuse to feel sorry for the able bodied men who are being rescued. You'd think they'd be humiliated to use up valuable resources to get their sorry rearends out of the jam they got themselves into in the first place. Sheeeeesh already.

3 - One more thing. Those people in the Dome should be grateful - counting their blessings - that they had a place to go. You'd think they could get themselves organized in there to at least clean up after themselves. Whatever it takes. It's like they're a bunch of helpless babies. Sheeeeeesh.

He named the responsible entity, but I don't remember its name.

The situation in NO may be different, but I am very familiar with the levees in Monroe, LA as I was involved in the investigation of a flood wall collapse up there.

The responsible entity in Monroe is the Tensas Basin Levee Board (their telephone # seems to be in my permanent memory bank.)

This appears to be the corresponding entity in NO:

Orleans Levee District

Literally. I was involved in a fire/building collapse investigation once, and another insurance adjuster was standing ON a body without knowing it until a fireman told her to move . . .

If they could produce footages of hundreds of bodies of children or elderly folks floating somewhere, they would do it, and their ratings would go up.

That's why we were all allowed to see the gruesome results of 911. Right?

Right?

...hello?

It's really easy to judge the victims from your warm, dry, snug computer chair.

I second that. I am sick of reading this type of crap as well. Lousiana, and Mississippi have a very high number of people living in poverty, which may come as somewhat of an eye opener to many people in the rest of the country. All a lot of these people had were their homes and the meager posessions inside. Thousands of them have no homeowners insurance. It's easy to sit here and say you would abandon everything you own, when you have home-owners insurance, a car, and money.

Sending prayers to you & your friend & all who are faced with this terrible task of recovery. I have been praying steadily for all who have been affected & lost so much: I'd forgotten to pray for those who are trying to help, and finding so few to help. It must cut at the very soul. Thank you for bringing us the information.

First it was whole families washing up on the shore...then when that couldn't be substantiated...there was "debris littering the beach"...

nah you're not moving the goalposts one bit are you?

CNN International showed, and re-showed the jumpers on 9/11 in Europe. I was there and saw it. The footage was spiked in the US.

"What are you saying? And why? What is your point?"

All you--or Glenn, for that matter--have is a voice on the phone.

"His dtr is part of group of rescuers, called into the area...now fearful and holed up because of the weaponry laden thugs out on the street who have formed a barrier between those caught in the area, either storm victems or aid workers, preventing them from leaving."

Or so the caller claims. There are people who make a point of calling in to radio & news shows with these sorts of tales who aren't even in the area--Howard Stern encourages his listeners to do this to show how gullible the mainstream media is. The "Baba Booey" at the end of the call is the tell-tale that it's a Stern listener.

Wow. That's somewhat of how this plays out as well. People died in the storm surge; mud, wood, debris. I doubt you'd see many of them even with a flyover like we've seen on TV.

Actually, if you go to www.tuscaloosanews.com, you can see pics of the University of Alabama campus and trees down all over the place. Nothing like New Orleans or the Coast.
