BREAKING!!! - Weldon says records were ordered destroyed!! (Able Danger)
Dom Giordano Show - 1210AM Radio "Big Talker" - Philadelphia | 29 AUG 05 | Vanity

Posted on 08/29/2005 6:23:38 PM PDT by Lancey Howard

Congressman Curt Weldon (R - Pennsylvania) gave another exclusive interview to Dom Giordano this evening (Monday) and broke the news that he will be giving a speech on September 8th (next Monday) during which he will present yet another 'Able Danger' witness. This new witness will attest (and will swear under oath when called) that he was "ordered to destroy records" relating to the 'Able Danger' program.

This order to destroy the records occurred prior to 9-11-01. Weldon intimated that it happened during the Clinton Administration.

The witness, who Weldon did not name, says that he was ordered to destroy records and was threatened with jail if he failed to comply. Weldon said that he has the names of the people involved, including the person who gave the order, and HE WILL NAME THEM in his speech.

Congressman Weldon also said that his staff has met with Senator Arlen Specter's (R - Pennsylvania) staff regarding the upcoming Judiciary Committee hearings. Weldon wants to be sure that everybody is on the same page. Weldon also said that he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that ALL the facts come out and that the process "is not manipulated".

Curt Weldon is like a pit bull on a steak. He expressed disgust with the "incompetence" of the 9-11 Commission and said that the victims of the 9-11 terror attacks deserve answers. Weldon is determined to see that they get them.

Weldon did express confidence in Tim Roehmer and John Lehman and speculated that perhaps the poor job done by the Commission was the result of an incompetent staff. Weldon sounded amazed and disappointed that so much important information was either glossed over or swept under the rug by the Commission.

Weldon will give his September 8th speech either to the National Press Club or to a "9-11 families" group which has asked him to speak. He apparently hasn't nailed down the exact venue yet.

(For those unfamiliar with Dom Giordano, he is a very good conservative local talk show host here in the Philadelphia area, an area which includes Curt Weldon's district. Weldon comes on Dom's show often and, like this evening, sometimes breaks news.)

Most interesting. Are they going to ask Sandy Berger anything about his docs-in-the-socks I wonder? My guess is that was a further attempt to cover up Able Danger.

I certainly hope that this will be pursued and investigated fully. The people have a right to know exactly what happened. It does not matter which party was in charge.

To not pursue this would be failing the American people. We have a right to know what happened.

Whoever the witness is they should steer well clear of Fort Marcy park for the next week or so.

Among other places for the witness to avoid, the passenger seat in Senator Kennedy's car would be a good place to avoid.

"That destruction of records occurred AFTER 9-11-01"

Really? If so, I think that answers why he's getting no cooperation from the Pentagon.

To All--

The political class is at it again. They will stop at nothing to cover this up. Both parties are in this thing together. Like I have said many times in the past, for all the evil that Bill Clinton and his ilk perpetrated on this country,we are suffering the consequences now and we will for many years to come.

God bless Curt Weldon for all that he is doing but in the end Slick Willy and his ilk are part of the political class and they will be protected.

While much of what Weldon will say is probably extremely important, the fact that the data was ordered destroyed is nothing more than the end result of Gorelick's policy!

It is of little or no signifigance WHO ordered the data destroyed / when the order was given!

The very fact that the lawyers, based on Gorelick's policy, determined that the information was illegally obtained, i.e. it is forbidden to collect data on "US Persons" and Atta & Co. were legally "US Persons" - the information, by law must be destroyed.

According to Title 50 USC 1801:
"(i) ``United States person'' means a citizen of the United
States, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence (as
defined in section 1101(a)(20) of title 8), an unincorporated
association a substantial number of members of which are citizens of
the United States or aliens lawfully admitted for permanent
residence, or a corporation which is incorporated in the United
States, but does not include a corporation or an association which
is a foreign power, as defined in subsection (a)(1), (2), or (3) of
this section."

This restriction has been a thorn in our side since the early 70's (officially 1978 in the FISA and then through EO 12333 from 1982). The military was much MORE restricted in thier efforts than were the NSA, CIA and, to a lesser extent the FBI. Collecting information regarding US Persons was more or less prohibited to the military (actually you COULD collect, but the hurdles that needed to be overcome where enormous and any attempt to do so was met with very harsh resistance from the higher levels of the command structure!). "Gorelick's Wall" just made it all that much harder!

There had been several deadly bin Laden/al Qaeda attacks, Somalia, two American embassies in Africa, the Cole, the first World Trade Center bombing, etc., and according to the National Geographic cable special aired last week, we'd had many, many warnings and threats of deadly violence to come. Deadly violence breathed down our necks well before 9/11. Clinton simply didn't want to deal with it. He was too busy with Monica and impeachment.

ABLE DANGER partnered with LIWA/IDC to use the LIWA/IDC capability to obtain the data on Atta and the other 9-11 terrorists. I brokered the relationship... And - wrong again on the IDC using only "classified" databases - IDC used 2.5 terabytes (a whole hell of a lot of data) - all open source - to identify Atta and the others that have been identified. Classified data bases were only use to "confirm" the links subsequent to the open source data runs.

Oh - and DATA MINING is not overt or clandestine - it just "is" - it is something that is done with either open source or classified information. ABLE DANGER used an array of both open and close databases...

The following is from http://www.fas.org/irp/agency/inscom/liwa/

As an analysis center, the IDC provides dedicated support to LIWA's deployed teams and the commands they serve. Tailored analytical products are generated, frequently on a quick-response basis, to meet a deployed team's immediate needs. The IDC also monitors potential trouble spots worldwide, preparing to support contingency operations with IO-related products should the need arise. The IDC uses high-capacity communications links to access selected information from a number of databases maintained by a number of other commands, agencies, and organizations. In addition to providing IO support to the operations process, the IDC provides an advanced environment to leverage new technologies and explore emerging concepts. The IDC is also prepared to provide support to exercises.

The IDC's communications capability serves both operational and analytical functions by using a variety of links to supported commands and deployed LIWA teams. The IDC also has access to DOD and non-DOD Government organizations participating in IO at the National level, and exchanges information with intelligence organizations possessing IO information and subject matter expertise. Collectively, the ability to communicate worldwide permits the small number of analysts resident in the IDC to provide tailored assessments rapidly and efficiently. Finally, in support of the Army Computer Emergency Response Team (ACERT), the IDC uses communications to flash computer intrusion alerts and countermeasures across the Army.

We can assume this about Shaffer. He's smart, able to connect dots, reactively fearless, honest, has strong beliefs about right and wrong, and understands too much at too deep a level. He's frustrated with those who can't see the obvious and who lack the courage to deal with reality as it is, rather than how it should be... He's a team player, but only to the point where team and country cross. And with much thought, and analysis, at the juncture, he chose "country". Why? What compromised his everything that he made him take such a risk? What pushed him over? Some piece of information was too much? Some rejection of what he understood was too outrageous. Some corruption he saw was too blatant? What? And what now?

Why would they be ordered destroyed prior to 9/11?

ABLE DANGER used the same technology as CIFA (Counterintelligence Field Activity) and when congressional staffers came into that space, an analyst said "give me a name" for a demonstration. A staffer said "Chu" (to see what would happen) and the the analyst plugged that name in. The result of the name "Chu" was that the technology involved spewed out connections between someone named "Chu" and Pres Clinton. A copy of that report was requested; the analyst stupidly acquieced; the congressional staffer took it to the hill and it was released that Clinton had ties to the Chinese.

I never knew that. Is that common knowledge?

Haven't heard a peep lately from George Tenet, Richard Clarke or.... Louis Freeh....

This is absolutely the weirdest non-news story of the century. In addition to the deafening silence of the above chaps, add the White House, the Republican Party AND the media.

We have Weldon. We have the Colonel, the Captain, and a slowly growing platoon of the Able Danger back room boys. Throw in Freep and talk radio, and this life-and-death-of- America story still come in behind Natalee Holloway, Katrina, and the ball scores.

Is this the Mother of All Conspiracies, or what?

Vince Foster Mena Lasiter Retro Ping

Will Curt Weldon join Larry Nichols in driven-crazy-by-Clinton Nut Land? Film at 11.

Thanks for posting that extremely informative post on Mary Lawton and Richard Scruggs and the origin of the Wall.

Do you know where Richard Scruggs is today?

don't think Clinton had the stomach for much more than launching a missile at an aspirin factory. But the reason he instructed Gorelick to erect "the wall" was to stymie investigations into his own criminal foreign campaign money schemes, Chinagate, etc.

The "wall" was also to keep his activities against the VRWC a secret. And yeah, there was a time when that wasn't a joke. If Hillary hadn't spilled the beans about it, it might have been the start of the biggest coup in the history of the US.
