Congressman Curt Weldon (R - Pennsylvania) gave another exclusive interview to Dom Giordano this evening (Monday) and broke the news that he will be giving a speech on September 8th (next Monday) during which he will present yet another 'Able Danger' witness. This new witness will attest (and will swear under oath when called) that he was "ordered to destroy records" relating to the 'Able Danger' program.

This order to destroy the records occurred prior to 9-11-01. Weldon intimated that it happened during the Clinton Administration.

The witness, who Weldon did not name, says that he was ordered to destroy records and was threatened with jail if he failed to comply. Weldon said that he has the names of the people involved, including the person who gave the order, and HE WILL NAME THEM in his speech.

Congressman Weldon also said that his staff has met with Senator Arlen Specter's (R - Pennsylvania) staff regarding the upcoming Judiciary Committee hearings. Weldon wants to be sure that everybody is on the same page. Weldon also said that he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that ALL the facts come out and that the process "is not manipulated".

Curt Weldon is like a pit bull on a steak. He expressed disgust with the "incompetence" of the 9-11 Commission and said that the victims of the 9-11 terror attacks deserve answers. Weldon is determined to see that they get them.

Weldon did express confidence in Tim Roehmer and John Lehman and speculated that perhaps the poor job done by the Commission was the result of an incompetent staff. Weldon sounded amazed and disappointed that so much important information was either glossed over or swept under the rug by the Commission.

Weldon will give his September 8th speech either to the National Press Club or to a "9-11 families" group which has asked him to speak. He apparently hasn't nailed down the exact venue yet.

(For those unfamiliar with Dom Giordano, he is a very good conservative local talk show host here in the Philadelphia area, an area which includes Curt Weldon's district. Weldon comes on Dom's show often and, like this evening, sometimes breaks news.)

LOL...I'm a great stickler for facts. I know plenty of them and use them when others need to be educated. :-)

I tried and tried to let him or others supply the factual history of the matter; nobody stepped up to the plate, so what was I supposed to do...let it all just hang there in the wind? Not my style. LOL

I'll remind you NOT to "play" any games with me; however, I think that you know better to do so.

September the 8th is a Thursday (not a Monday)! I know because its my wife's birthday (only 9 shopping days left!) and also the opening game of the regular NFL season. Arrrrgh! Guess I'll have to tape it. If I were Weldon I'd just spit out what I knew NOW - why give others time to arrange an "accident"?

That was my mistake. Weldon only said that he was planning a speech for September 8th and I went and looked at my August calendar. D'oh! Sorry about that. September 8th falls on a Thursday.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Gorelick fulfilled much the same role as Hubbell had, acting as Hillary's "eyes and ears at the Justice Department." During this time, Gorelick was used to blind the FBI of Clinton corruption which caused the blind eye for the activities of the 9/11 attack. We remember it was Web Hubbell who served 16 months for his over charges to his Arkansas law firm and his clients. He also plead guilty on a tax charge that was later dismissed by the U.S. Supreme Court due to fifth amendment issues concerning private documents. It seems as if Hitlary was cutting and pasting "eyes and ears" from the same cloth.

It is interesting that Gorelick's position on the 9/11 Commission may have been to alert the Clintons that some compromising information was being uncovered by the Commission and that Sandy Burger had to be sent into the National Archives to grab the damaging information. This is not the first time that Gorelick has been used to protect the Clintons from scrutiny. It is known that the Wall was originally erected between the CIA and the FBI to protect the Clintons from damaging information about the campaign cash from the Chinese government in exchange for nuclear secrets.

We hope to God that the Clintons did not enable the Chinese to develop the technology for the miniaturization of a nuclear device in exchange for (sex?) and campaign cash.

I think the notion of "Pentagon" is important, here. Everyone on the forum is hoping beyond hope that the source of the command to destroy the information came from the Clinton Whitehouse. However, it is possible that the buck stops at the Pentagon. They may have felt vulnerable to charges of snooping on civilians with their Able Danger program. Therefore, we must be prepared to accept that the best news out of this debacle may be proof that the Clinton Whitehouse was INFORMED of the Atta cell in New York and ignored advice to take it out.

It is interesting to me that Senator Joseph McCarthy's name has come up in this thread. My father's assessment of McCarthy was that he was allowed to continue with his investigations as long as he didn't ruffle the wrong feathers. He found most of the moles during early hearings in the Department of Agriculture. McCarthy ran into a buzz saw when he went after the Pentagon! Perhaps Weldon should tread lightly! :)

Finally, putting my tin foil hat firmly on my head, I want to prognosticate [This means I have absolutely NO evidence, but I want to start a good rumor! :] a possible interesting result: What if the information which caused Able Danger to be shut down actually linked Clinton to Bin Laden money? There had to be some reason that Clinton passed when the Sudan offered. Could Able Danger have detected an early Presidential "pardon"? :) </crass speculation>

Tonight C-SPAN or C-SPAN II they were replaying part of the 9/11 dog & pony shows from just last month but after the revelations of the last few weeks the hearing plays like a kinoscope of an old boxing match or college football game. Can C-SPAN be pushing the 9/11 Committees face in it?
