You don't think Satan is capable of powerful things? How are we to know it wasn't him?

What you said.

that's not the extent of the overflow he was predicting. perhaps you didn't hear the guy last night, he and this other Louisiana emergency mgmt guy on TWC were apocalyptic about this thing.

I pray God that they will be safe. I think that many phone lines and cell phones towers may be down for the moment but some shall be in service in the next 24 hours. I hope you will be able to contact your family very soon. It may be a good idea to call the police and emergency workers in these towns where your relatives are and check if your relatives have left their homes in particular your two elderly uncles. God be with you.

Insurance companies don't cover flood. That's FEMA (or whatever).

I'm sure some one(many) will figure out a way to sue insurance agancies for something indirectly related. It's become the American way. .... oh yippee(sarc)

That is why everybody needs to be evacuated.

Yep. And, sadly, I suspect it's why some choose not to evacuate. If you have everything invested in a small business or your own home, you may be more likely to risk the wind and high waters than lose it all to looters.

Of course it is - but that does not mean that all news must shut down.

This does not in the least take away from a national tragedy - except by those that want it to.

"NONE of these looters is "stealing" to save their own life, somebody's else's life, or their children's lives."

You are going to have to read the whole discussion before commenting on it. We are not discussing looters.

do we know yet if there are reports of any people who evacuated to the east, who were stuck on the road (no gas, etc) and caught in the middle of the brunt of this thing?
