I was just thinking about that song.
I noticed that, too. Wonder what they'll find when they dig it out.
Big chunk of roof landed 3 feet from Steven Harrigan. He's lea ving area for now.
That nut Harrigan is out of his cage again.
When Shep talks about persons on their roof to escape flooding, he's probably talking about the east/southeast section where the levee broke. It is the smallest of 3 separate areas of the city with their own levee systems creating 3 different bowls. So that flooding shouldn't affect where he's at downtown/French Quarter. With the winds from the north and west now, any major flooding (besides of course the rain) where he is at will come from Lake Pontchartrain's waters overtopping or breaching the level on the north or west.
That is old. FOX is replaying their old crap.
That's a repeat clip I think. I recognize the whoooooah and the camera dude wiping the lens.
Repeat. I recognized the "WHOAAAA" from a previous report. :)
THis just in Florida falls to George Bush
let me restate, many of the folks looked like Carville.
There goes that wacky Harrigan again...or is this a repeat segment?
Repeat..
He's nuts.. standing by that sign.. He could have been swatted like a fly.. hhmmm? swatted like a fly..
Where's Whore-aldo when ya need him? lol
LOL! GMTA.
You don't friggin KNOW what is overblown. I'm watching several radar and sat maps - and the danger point for surge in NO was when the eyewall was due east of the city. The winds might have reduced, but there was still a lot of danger at that point.
So, once again, please either post some content or lurk.
Well check this genius on Fox in the water!
Refineries capable of processing some 1.6 million barrels a day have shut down, they include:
-- Chevron's 325,000 barrel a day refinery in Pascagoula, Miss.
-- ConocoPhillips' 255,000 barrel a day Alliance refinery, south of New Orleans.
-- Valero Energy Corp.'s 260,000 barrel a day refinery in St. Charles.
-- Murphy Oil Corp.'s 120,000 barrel a day refinery in Meraux, La.
-- Exxon Mobil Corp.'s 183,000 barrel a day refinery in Chalmette, La.
-- Motiva Enterprises' 225,000-barrel a day Norco refinery, and its 235,000-barrel-a-day Convent refinery.
-- Marathon's 245,000 barrel a day Garyville, La. refinery.
Seriously?
I am WAY lost on this. From what I've heard/read about hurricanes - it takes a couple hours to pass. The radar shows the hurricane still in the area.
I've heard flooding to ceilings & rooftops in N.O., seen pics of structural collapse in N.O., heard a levee broke in N.O., it's still raining, still strong winds (per radar), and they're going home? I am very confused.
