Seriously?

I am WAY lost on this. From what I've heard/read about hurricanes - it takes a couple hours to pass. The radar shows the hurricane still in the area.

I've heard flooding to ceilings & rooftops in N.O., seen pics of structural collapse in N.O., heard a levee broke in N.O., it's still raining, still strong winds (per radar), and they're going home? I am very confused.

Well now I'm confused...I thought that was supposed to be a sarcastic joke of some kind or another...people are actually leaving?!
