Liberals blame Bush for Huricane Katrina (no, I am not joking)

OK. We all know the Left has become so unhinged that they blame Bush and the right for all the ails of the world. But never content to simply ascribe man-made evils upon us, the Left has now broken (wetted?) new ground by blaming President Bush for Hurricane Katrina and all the damage that is sure to ensue. Here are a few examples:

"in a poor neighborhood".... Say no more."

"Most sickening thing I have ever seen in this country... Where is the f*&^%$g FEDERAL GOVERNMENT?"

" Heartbreaking...and sickening. Gee, where's our National Guard? Oh that's right. They're in Iraq."

"If it turns out there is loss of life because of the NG being tied up in Iraq in an elective war there will be hell to pay.

The National Guard exists for emrgencies just like this one.

"It's too soon to tell. But we will find out. And if that's the case it falls squarely on Bushitler's evil shoulders and there is another count of impeachment against him. I hate that f*&^#r."

">>I hate that f*&^#r<< So do I. With a passion."

"that would mean the federal government gives a s**t can't be having that. people will think they're special or something."

"Couldn't be any uglier As I said on an earlier thread this storm has the potential to easily kill more people than 9/11. The WWL feed had one of the Parish Presidents on and when he commented that approximately 20% of his residents had no way to get out, the interviewer asked what would become of these folks? His only answer was grim, "they will become part of the search and rescue mission tomorrow".

"With the National Guard spread out all over I would hope that someone is planning to mobilize regular forces from Polk and other nearby bases, but I am afraid that the only thing going on in Crawford is Rove trying to determine where the best post-storm photo ops will be for Bush."

" These people being stranded and herded like cattle is criminal It's CRIMINAL!!!!!

I can't stand it, this country is going to s**t, and the proof is when you have people in harm's way and very little resources to help them. What the hell did they ever do to deserve this? Doesn't the Christian God love these people, too?

I saw a car with a "Proud To Be An American" bumpersticker today and it was all I could do to keep from ramming into it. I wanted to yell at him, "What the hell are you so f*****g proud of?"

The haves, the have mores, and the never-will-have. Proud to be an American, my a**."

Before the next presidential election, many of these people are going to keel over from strokes if they don't get over this lunacy

Before this is all over there will be another Jonestown of some sort. The level, intensity and scope of the insanity is unbelievable.

They don't believe in God? Oh wait I forgot - government is their god. No wonder they feel aggrieved and angry he let them down.

If there is loss of life it will be because people ignored orders to evacuate. I noticed on the Weather Channel that the Interstates in that area have had their inbound lanes reversed so all lanes are now running outbound. There's no excuse for staying in areas that will receive the full force of Katrina. Hundreds of people died in 1969 when Camille struck because they decided to stay where they were rather than evacuate not due to US involvement in Vietnam.

I just have to shake my head at those who choose to stay and "ride it out". I have heard that because of the high rate of poverty in New Orleans, thousands of people cannot evacuate. When I heard that I wondered if it wasn't possible for the government, Federal or State, to find a way to transport these people out of the area.

What I find most disturbing are those that CHOOSE to say behind as they put others in danger. If I was in charge, I'd tell all of those who chose to stay, that they are on their own. There will be NO rescue attempts made.

Liberals think Bush is Mother Nature?

Actually liberals think they themselves are Mother Nature, and if they could, they would have a fury 100 times than of that Katrina/Camille, to quash the evil capitalists, and usher in the marxist eutopia, until the next Camille/Katrina comes along.

Liberals think Bush is Mother Nature? Who did they blame for hurricanes when Clinton was in charge?

I believe they blamed the Bush family and Haliburton. ;)

To make matters worse, Senator Mary Landrieu was on the radio earlier blaming President Bush for not doing enough about coastal erosion and therefore being responsible for the storm doing more damage than it otherwise would. She is truly pathetic.

I read the entire article and didn't see any mention of President Bush.

"What the hell did they ever do to deserve this? Doesn't the Christian God love these people, too? "

The "Christian God" loves everyone, however, only those who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, are acceptable to Him. Orthodox Jews still haven't come to terms with the fact that the Messiah has been here, but they will. God will see to it.

As I understand it, New Orleans is called "The Big Easy" for a reason. Some careful insight into your surroundings might answer your question.

Don't these people know that the Patriot Act enables the feds to go to any library and track them down and incarcerate them for life at Gitmo for their hate speech? :)

That impeachment fantasy again. As though they had the House.

The main problem Louisiana has is that the Mississippi river has been turned into a large barge canal and the sediments that used to replenish the wetlands no longer get to the Gulf of Mexico. The Mississippi delta is compacting under its own weight. Without more sediment, coast line will continued to receed. It's FDR's fault.

As I'm sure others will mention, the NG is in New Orleans. The problems seems to be with the governor and the mayor, who didn't seem inclined to evacuate New Orleans until the President called and twisted their arms. I don't know whether they are or not, but they act a lot like Democrats.
