Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
WHAT AN AWESOME docu-photo reel, TR. Truly tells so well, a wonderful story of "Dueling in Crawford". :)

Also, you will see me with Shemane Nugent. What an awesome lady!
Awesome!!! great photo Flyer.
Can't stand it anymore. Weighing in....if she was "worked on" for the camera, she needs a different plastic surgeon. She looks like Jimmy Carter had a sex shange operation.
Why can't Howie Dean, who funds this female compost heap, afford to get her a decent nose job?
As for her claim of death threats...she's lying. She's been told to claim that because Mrs. Nugent said people in Crawford who spoke out against her were receiving death threats. Must have been about the same time they were harrassing children and making the bomb threats. They're projecting guilt in order to stop a public backlash over their behavior.
Ping to the HOT Chapter and other texans for the THANK YOU POST by MRJoe, at 3000, a marine in Iraq.
The HOT Chapter did great work yesterday.
Eaker has their contact info and we are going to point them here and send them the pics.
Thank you so much for sharing those wonderful pictures---for one who couldn't be there. I was there in spirit, though, and thought about all of you all day yesterday!
Are there still lots of people there today---I haven't been on the thread yet, so haven't had an update. :o)
LOOK AT ALL THE VIDEO CAMERAS IN THIS PHOTO BY ARCHERB!!!!! YOU WOULD THINK ONE OF THESE PRESS PEOPLE WOULD SHARE THEIR VIDEO ON THE NEWS!!! WHAT DID THEY DO WITH THEIR STUFF?????
Dear Mr. Joe,
God Bless you and your fellow Marines. THANK YOU all for helping to protect us and keep us free. Most of us here at home support all of you and your Commander in Chief. Unfortunately, the MSM only seems to care to report on the bad things that are happening in Iraq and left wing wackos here. Please let all of your comarades know that most of us know the real story. Stay safe and made God continue to bless, protect and keep all of you.

In such a short time, have conservatives created a finer world with much more freedom.
Like you, I stand humbled and in awe of how hard conservatives have worked all these years. And how many hits they've taken, and how they DIDN'T BACK DOWN. So that now, conservatives have some play room to move within.
It took 40+ years for liberals to drag America to 9-11, and the depravity of so much - Our laws, our morals, our families. And in relatively speaking, a blink of an eye's time, so much good has been accomplished. There are parts of the world now, knowing freedom and liberty for the first time, ever. And in one of the most war-scarred parts of the world.
How could I not be so darned optimistic?
The children did not "write" on the flag.
They wrote stuff and drew pictures on small pieces of red & white cloth. Those pieces were sewn together to make the huge flag.
There are quite a few pictures of that flag on this thread. Seeing it in person gave me chills.
What a diverse lot of people, coming from all over the US, united in what they stand for. Whoa. Chills again.
WOW!!!!! I love that sign! Says it all, doesn't it! Thanks Valerie!
"Notice how they used a shot where you could not read what was on the horse's.... er ... well you know. The one on the left said something like "U don't speak for me" the other "Cindy Go Home". Now that's what I call horse sense."
Tail.
U don't speak for me CINDY, with CINDY written around the tail!
CINDY GO HOME wiith an arrow pointed to the Tail!:^)
God bless the Troops,
God bless the President, and
God bless the USA!
He was part of an operation this past week that killed 50 terrorists in Iraq (dang, I can find that thread)

Manning the "welcome"(?) tent - I would say it was close to that number too. It was a thrilling sight as you say. And then so many lined up outside our canopy in the hot sun wanting to write on the banners going to the troops and/or the President, the program was beginning - I kept telling them to go on in and come back later and sign, but most chose to wait - it was important to them to send a personal message.
One of my daughters got ill from the heat and I had to leave for a bit to cool her off. As we were driving down the little street back toward town there were hundreds walking from town to the rally. So we ran a little one truck shuttle service for a short while while cooling my daughter off.
It was an amazing day. REAL Americans rock!!!
