Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
I'm not sure if one exists, but here is the board for Freepers in Indiana. I expect they'd know.

Great news, Julie. Wow! 3000 people, that's fantastic.
I will pass it on if he comes back online. From what I gather it's a SMALL town, so I think the cops and the FD are already "in the know" on what's up... At least I hope they are. Seems they just found out about the funeral plans and the planned protest this afternoon. As I said I know nothing more than what I heard. The kid was asking for someone to help bail him out of jail tomorrow.
Well we have listen enough already to cut and run parents..where are the Gold Star parents that were with the Caravan?
Good point :) I doubt that Geroldo thinks of anything beyond his own mustache.
I wonder what the troops think of Geroldo, especially the group he was embedded with when he gave away their position on live television.
Another question, this one on Code Pink. I had read that they gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the insurgency in Iraq, it's that a crime to give money to a terrorist organization? Can they prove this and if so why hasn't this come out? Cindy SHeehan campaigned for Kerry, doesn't this make her organization NONexempt from paying taxes?
For some reason...I can't see your pictures either! Do you have a link to your album?
Tosha Wells (L) walks with a white cross that represents her husband, who was killed serving in Iraq, after pulling it from the makeshift memorial set up along the roadside by anti-war demonstrators near U.S. President George W. Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, August 27, 2005. Authorities reported little trouble from the several thousand people that descended upon Crawford to demonstrate for and against the Iraq war. haven't heard the "Journey" in a while....:)
Yes he was Cindy's lot but quite respectful not full of hate that she is.
Guilty admission...I love the song, but at the same time hate the lyrics. LOL I guess what I like is the rhythm and how it pounds but my conscience gets to me everytime given the spin on the subject so I can't enjoy it obviously. If the lyrics were tweaked, it would be wonderful.
LOL, I'd gladly bail him out! Although if I where there I'd be joining him!
Stop bashing our own for an honest mistake!
How is what you are spouting any different than what you are spouting about?
You can post it on the Indiana Freeper board..What planned protest?
Sorry, my laptop just got a white screen with some small colored blocks in the top left hand side...
I guess it is not equipped for it...I will have to wait for the WORLD PREMIERE, I guess.
Thanks again to all who went to Crawford today. Thanks to all who have reported back and all who have posted pictures. I'm going to call it a day now. Unless my local Fox News has some great coverage and I have to tell you about it first. LOL Rest well!
There is a drawback to that, if there is a chance of coming in contact with leftists during said event. I was at a FReep some time ago in which we did this, and wound up having a leftist notice my name tag and ask me about it. I didn't say anything, but I'm pretty sure he knew those were our FR screen names, because he posted something on DU about me afterward. Somehow, I wound up having a troll start sending me weird FReepmails, in which he basically let me know that he knew me in real life. So I had to change my name, because I didn't like being snooped on by moonbats that knew me.
I realize that the chances of that happening are slim, but I would still advise against it, unless it's a FReepers-only sort-of thing. You never know.
