I think that next time there is a hugh, series FREEPER event, we need to have all of the freepers wear nametags or have cards or something, so that other freepers can recognize them....instead of asking strangers if they are freepers....

There is a drawback to that, if there is a chance of coming in contact with leftists during said event. I was at a FReep some time ago in which we did this, and wound up having a leftist notice my name tag and ask me about it. I didn't say anything, but I'm pretty sure he knew those were our FR screen names, because he posted something on DU about me afterward. Somehow, I wound up having a troll start sending me weird FReepmails, in which he basically let me know that he knew me in real life. So I had to change my name, because I didn't like being snooped on by moonbats that knew me.

I realize that the chances of that happening are slim, but I would still advise against it, unless it's a FReepers-only sort-of thing. You never know.

Oh hell I gave my real name and hometown to a reporter today, hope they like diversity.

Well, actually, simply going to a Freep even can get you outed, too. By friendly fire even!

I'm not knocking hocndoc, but when connecting public ID's with pix, all it takes is for someone to catch your real name at an event and you're outed to the entire moonbat community.

Really, there's no way to "actively lurk" for the conservative side. It's ok to hawk your image at Camp Casey, because there will be no retribution....just like putting a "No blood for Oil" bumper sticker on your car can be done without fear. But put a "W 1" sticker or pro-conservative bumper sticker on your car, and be prepared to get keyed! Same with these counter-protests. The moonbats will stalk you, to be sure. So Freep carefully!
