I was having dinner in Savannah, Georgia one time with my Army Ranger boyfriend, and someone picked up the bill for us anonymously. I'll never forget it.

It's the humidity. It makes my monitor kind of hazy. Yes. That's what's doing it. It's not me. Ex-Air Force cops who used to blow stuff up and shoot big guns all the time don't get teary eyed. So yeah, that's it, that must be it.

Exactly. Former infantrymen like me who like to shoot stuff and run around in Bradleys don't get teary eyed either.

Yep. At least I can blame it on being here in sunny (and for-real humid) here in Georgia....

Thank you! There are good people in this state...and sometimes we even get to hear about them.
Now, quit making me cry first thing in the morning. I hate having to touch up the make up before noon!
; )
BTW...I just wanted to thank you again for the great job you do on this ping list. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Yeah, I had no idea that certain posts could make my monitor go fuzzy like this.

This is an excellent story. This is what America is all about.

Thanks for the post, even if I am still wiping tears. :)
There isn't enough reporting of stories like this. Thanks for your letter to the editor of the paper thanking them for this one small, sweet, drop of water on parched tongues. Hope they catch a clue and do more of them.

Sent my email. It only takes a minute.

Great story. Wonder if the local chapter of Code Pink will boycott this Fascist restaurant. < /sarcasm >
Agreed. Seattle is such a schizoid city. No doubt that the crazies will protest Canlis--in their view, an old-school restaurant for "Boeing executives," but it's location near a heavily trafficked bridge should make it really difficult for protesters to get a photo op near the restaurant. Besides, the restaurant is private property.

Kudos to you for writing. We should not only write to tell of our displeasure but, also, of our pleasure in something they've done.
