What a wonderful story. It truly warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting this great story. I hope I can tell my husband about it without getting too choked up.

Our local talk-radio show host, Mike McCarvel, on KTOK AM 1000 asks people in our area to do the same sort of thing, for our military people, and also for firefighters, police officers, and EMTs.
Glad to see this is happening not just in the Heartland.

I cannot go to Seattle with my wife and not plan on having dinner there. It is, without a doubt, one of the finest restaurants in the Northwest. I wish we had some just 1/2 as good here in Savannah, but alas, we don't. The view is fantastic too, and the staff is really nice. We love it, and I bet you will too. ( this advertisement has not been paid for by anyone but me!!) : )

My husband and I have done that, only we just ask the manager to leave a note on the bill. That way, the soldiers aren't uncomfortable having to talk to us, and when they get their bill there is a nice note on it, instead of how much they owe.
It feels great. We've done it for elderly couples, too.

What's wrong with my monitor? It seems a bit blurrier than it did a moment ago... Mine too. Must be defective. ...here's a kleenex. Maybe it'll fix it.
