Police Need Your Help In Capturing Beating Suspects
August 24, 2005
Video : KOMO 4 NEWS Police say the three brutally beat two soldiers just home from the war in Iraq outside a Pioneer Square club, but it was caught on videotape.
SEATTLE - Two soldiers who just returned from a year in Iraq were badly beaten in an attack outside Pioneer Square. But believe it or not, someone caught the beating on videotape. Now, police are asking for your help identifying the suspects.
The brutality of it all was captured on tape outside of Larry's Nightclub on First and Yesler on July 31.
Police say the victims were with two women who'd been groped by the suspects. One of the women threw a hot dog at the suspects and walked away.
They didn't get very far. The three suspects ran after them and began attacking the two men -- two soldiers who'd come home from the war.
The graphic videotape shows both victims getting beaten over and over again, and then after one of the victims loses consciousness, a suspect starts stomping on his head.
Now police want your help in catching these guys.
"We consider them very dangerous," said Seattle Police Officer Sean Whitcomb.
After not getting any leads, Seattle police have just released this tape to the media even though it happened over three weeks ago.
If you know who these suspects are, or have any information in the case, you're asked to call Seattle Police.
Both victims suffered broken jaws, while one suffered a broken arm and both had other broken bones and several bruises.
Here's some closer photos and video of the suspects.

Wished those soldiers had kicked violent criminal lefty rear. It is a scandal when Washington is worse than Iraq.
yes, and infiltrated by black gangs...
Sounds like looned out agenda driven anti war protestors. Who else would try to attack a SOLDIER?
Not true. But even if it was, even more important to go public if they had the video evidence.
They're from somewhere else. I'd guess they got the tape close to ~1 week ago with much leg work.
You and I don't know this. That is why the questions are begging for answers.
We used to live in Redmond in the 80's/90's and left in 95. The traffic was insane then. My buddy in Bellevue told me recently people in his neighborhood are buying old homes for $500k and leveling them to build mansions on. What happened to Seattle the working class town?
This is a bar fight. The thugs laid their hands on the girls and one of them tossed a hot dog at them. They then proceded to attack.
IN that case, "what's in the hooch?"
too bad you missed the pulled thread.
folks here using the same logic PC Seattle media and city officials use.
the Sgt Schultze defense.
I'm with you. Please, oh please let me catch someone trying this with me around...
Don't expect answers to your questions. This is typical of the Seattle police department. Not one word about the culprits being black but anyone can see that they are by the photo. Seattle shys around any incident that is perpetrated by blacks, especially if they involve whites as victims. When was the last time anyone heard the term "hate crime" in Seattle involving a black attacking a white? I never have.
Once caught, the ACLU will be running each other over to come to their defense. So much for Liberals and "We Support The Troops."
I don't follow that.
Even if they do, don't forget the D.A., the judge, and probably a jury all have to do what's right. These days, you can hardly count on that. Just ask O.J. and Michael Jackson.
It's not just Seattle.
"I'll ante up for bounty. Anyone got contact with a hunter?"
Paging Paul Kersey! Paging Paul Kersey! Mr. Kersey, you're needed in Seattle immediately.
"As I said in the pulled thread, the site of the crime is heavily Democrat."
Actually, that's probably a conservative area of Seattle. I'm pretty sure the city as a whole leaned even more to the left. I seem to recall that Kerry got something like 82% of the vote there.
And it's also quite possible they obtained the tape almost immediately, considering the brutality of this crime. In bar full of people, at least several would more than likely tell them there were people with video tapes rolling, or the camera operator could have come forward almost immediately. Then again, the cameraman could have feared for his life, and sent the video anonymously to a news agency, or the police, which would have taken time to mail or send.
All speculation.
The newscast did have some additional footage from the tape, including a nice touch where one of the perps lifts up one of the unconscious GIs so he can have his picture taken with him. Newsreader said there were a score of people watching, and nobody tried to intervene.
It's a clear case of brutal attempted murder. We are hearing the news is only showing sanitized or less brutal parts of the video tape.
I do believe that the current Governor got 104% of the votes in Seattle.
