Lovely, although not unexpected. As the way it's set up now, the further west it makes landfall, the stronger it will be.
There's just no shear at present even in the western gulf.
All the buildings had gravel on their roofs. With winds whipping 100 mph all those rocks became little missiles and busted all the glass out of the high rises. It was a real mess.
It's like a warm bathtub...
WOW! Spiff, that a totally impressive post. Clear, concise and even I can ascertain what's going on. :)
I heard someone say 90 degrees F earlier today.
I dunno. I'm not buying the sharp northerly turn that the NHC is sticking with for now. They didn't predict the SW movement and that changes everything.
The weather guy, Joe Bastardo, (true name) said that the water off New Jersey is at 78-80 degrees.
I wish I knew some cajun women. I love to eat.
Yup. Ole Bebe. A lot of people won't know who you're talking about.
Brian Norcross on WFOR (I've got their signal back) is saying much the same thing.
They love to feed so you might do well with one.
WFOR reporter has a bloody eye from sand blowing into it...
Weren't they the weirdest pair. Both sort of dark and scheming and paranoid. I always wanted to be a fly on the wall to understand that friendship. It was really strange.
Did anyone ever write about Bebe and Nixon? I was so fascinated by them.
Have you tried Program like Blam uses?
She will be in the Gulf long enough to really develope some steam!
Sorry, don't know that area at all. I just quoted what I saw/heard on The Weather Channel.
When was this thread started?
The western eyewall will be over water within the next hour or so.
Ugh. I was there. That is the first hurricane that scared me.
