"Wear Red" Friday

You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

need to sleep & get up early to punch out my projects for church tomorrow. Have to type up two hand outs for the support groups I am starting in Fall & also do the last minute work on out skit(Noah's ark)which i have written/directing for the SS picnic after services. Well, have a few more computer things to do also but don't feel like keying in anymore tonight. How is that for honesty!???

Bailey graduated from PetSmart training classes today ... his 8 month birthday.

Oh, how precious. Congratulations to Bailey!

The Chach startes puppy classes at PetsMart next Tuesday. I am a little concerned about him because he is so little.

ST.LOUIE1 sent me this funny picture. This is EXACTLY what I am concerned about. I hope none of his classmates are THIS big! Yikes!!!

That little Chihuahua looks just like my Chachi. Can't you just hear him saying....."Sir, permission to move, sir?"

Are photos in the graduation cap part of the last class? I sure hope they have one small enough to fit Chachi....that is, assuming he graduates. LOL

you both get well now! Might be allergies. Symptoms are almost identical (except for fever)to a cold & MISERABLE stuff.

Lotsa vitamin C, zinc, enchinnea (however you spell it) and antihistimines get me thru.

The Prospect Of Heaven

Read:
Revelation 22:1-5

Now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. —1 Corinthians 13:12

As I approached my 90th birthday, two emotions surged through my heart. One was certainty, the positive assurance of life to come. And why not? Jesus said, "Because I live, you will live also" (John 14:19).

That assurance, however, is often accompanied by another emotion— curiosity. What will the next world really be like? Even the inspired descriptions of the celestial dwelling that we have in the Bible's last book are inadequate to convey what awaits us. Yet they do intensify our desire to leave this dark earthly existence and to enter that heavenly reality. We read about "a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God," "the tree of life," and "no more curse" (Revelation 22:1-3).

What are your own reactions as you think about the life beyond this life? Perhaps you are not especially curious. But are you blessed with the certainty of heaven, which you can have by faith in Jesus? Think of the words He spoke at the grave of Lazarus: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die" (John 11:25).

Is that promise the foundation of your certainty? You can make it so by believing in Jesus. —Vernon Grounds

How Can We Have The Assurance Of Heaven?
Recognize our sinfulness (Romans 6:23).
Believe Jesus died for us (Acts 16:31).
Receive Him as Savior (John 1:12).
Trust His promise (John 20:31).

What you do with Jesus now determines what He will do with you later.

Beleive me Maggie, I will keep on marching forward there is no question about it.

I had the chance to meet a young couple Friday night, they are so worried about their property taxes going up..
As with most people up here, every tax increase gets more and more difficult to take.
The expected increase this year is 40 to 60% plus 3/4 cent increase in sales tax.
I am proposing the opposite. Lower taxes, lower the sales tax, cut the size of government.

The hardest part for me to accept is that I will have no say in the budget for 06.
All we can do is continue to keep public pressure on them and keep the tax revolt moving forward.

Thank you for your prayers Maggie, they are needed.

Thanks, Mayor, for your lesson from God's word. Let us always look toward heaven and remember Whose we are.

Keep plugging away, Rus, you are changing hearts one individual at a time up there, and it will have results in the long run. You give people something to think about!
