Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).

Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

Everyone arrives in Crawford, Texas for a giant “We Support Our Troops AND Their Mission” Rally on Saturday, August 27, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forward’s Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

you are most welcome! Let's keep shouting our support so loudly that it drowns out the whining and complaining of the spineless, cowardly, lying bunch of anti-Americans.

Hi Swordmaker! Are you getting together with Greg? He touched me heart so much. I know he's really busy seeing everyone - he has such little time before he goes back. Are they having a farewell get-together for him? I'd love to stop by - would feel honored to stop by. Beth

I called the White House Comment Line again today, and again remained on the line for a live operator.

After quite some time, I told the woman "We support President Bush and our troops in Iraq. They are providing freedom for those people and security for Americans. We are outraged and disgusted by Cindy Sheehan. She is vile, V-I-L-E. She is disgracing the sacrifice her son willingly gave when he enlisted, re-upped, and died in the U.S. military defending freedom. Please tell the president God Bless, and we remain totally supportive. My father served on USS Saratoga and they suffered kamikaze attacks--in that day there was Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally; now we have Cindy Sheehan giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Forget her--the majority of Americans reject her and support our president and troops."

The woman thanked me for taking the time to express my views.

Our flag remains on display sheltered and lit 24/7 for all to see.

I've been able to listen to two radio interviews today and I must say, I am SO proud of these people for doing what they're doing. Nam will NOT happen again, not on our watch!!!

Oh! BTW...Casey's uncle called Move America Forward and said he's disgusted (among other things...) with Cindy's stance. Said she's always been against Bush, etc. Not that we didn't already know that, but wow...to have his uncle call.

Hi Beth.

Our crowd was very good; I wish 2000 had showed up but we probably had about 60 - 70.

Lots of media but most of the reporting was lacking. The local Fox station did the best job of reporting. They even aired us singing God Bless America.

Someone sent me some pictures but I have to reduce them so much that I lose some of the quality.

Here is a link to the Fresno Caravan thread.

Hi BG

Has anyone heard from Jim today? Is he still with the caravan.

Syncro called last night; Jim and crew were still at the rest stop where we provided snacks and iced water. They had lost their car keys and were waiting for AAA.

I may try to call them after I check their schedule. If I hear anything of importance, I will let everyone know.

Albuquerque KKOB-AM 770 drive-time Jim Villanucci and his sidekick Richard Eeds covered Cindy Sheehan at length last week over the course of their five four-hour shows.

The overwhelming majority of callers heaped scorn on her--after the obligatory "I understand her grief but" disclaimer.

Even Richard Eeds who is the left-of-center one said "she's been out in the sun too long".

Her husband filed for divorce. One account said she'd deserted the family--including Casey--for a decade.

Clearly she is a perennial partisan hack, a condition predating Casey's two tours.

And her playmates are terrorist-supporting radicals, while her motives are the same as any demagogue: more ego-stroking--Me! Me! Me! It's all about ME!

Not me!

I'm going to take a drive and see if they pass by on the freeway....

I sure wish I knew their exact location. I do NOT wanna stop at the side of the road and have to explain to the CHP WHY I'm sitting there....HA!

I just talked to Syncro. They are just getting into Orange County.

They have had a crowds of about 75 at their stops. They had a good interview at KFI and also a great interview in the studio with The Al Rantel Show.

After Jim and his group arrived in Bakersfield at 2:00 this morning, they found the lost keys in the back of one of the lead vehicles.

They are having fun and have had some people join them but they were not sure for how far.
