Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

You've had some excellent responses to your post made nearly 10 hours ago.

Care to come back and discuss with us?

When you accuse a website of blatant, single-minded nationalism, it's only polite that you respond to thoughtful replies.

. What I see at this site is blatant, single minded Nationalism.

Gawd, I love Nationalism. Especially when it is blatant and single mindedly Supporting Our Troops.

How is it that you support our troops as you say you do? You do not support what they are doing. So I ask again, how is it you support them? Only if they come home from an unfinished job?

You seem to have a conflicted idea of what is actually happening in Iraq. Read and dig it out for yourself rather than listening to sound bites. Good luck to you then.

This is an example of an American family who has lost their hero son fighting for our country. Not the Cindys of the world. This family and their son are representative of who we are rallying for. May God bless and comfort the family and may Lance Corporal George rest in peace and honor.

(8/19/05 - HOUSTON) — It's the news no military family wants to receive -- their loved one has been killed in action. This week, a Pasadena mother learned her son, a US Marine, was killed in Afghanistan. Phillip George was just 22 years old...and now his father is bringing him home. Lance Corporal Phillip George was not the only member of the family in the Middle East. His father was there, too, working in Iraq. The Marine's family describes him as quiet and loyal, but also, a young man who let his commitment to country speak volumes. "He thought the Marines were the most dedicated, the most well trained, and the most disciplined," said Aaron George of his brother, Phillip. Aaron says his younger brother will be remembered as a man dedicated to God and country. He died this week serving in Afganistan. He originally signed up to serve on the first anniversary of the September 11 attacks. That just strengthened his resolve, that he wanted to do something, that he wanted to be a part of the military, and protect the country," Aaron told us. Phillip followed the footsteps of his father, Carson. Carson served as a soldier in Vietnam, and is currently working as a contractor in Iraq. Now, Carson is on his way to Afghanistan to escort his son's body home. "This is especially hard for my father, so for him to get the chance to come home with him probably provides a little more closure and makes it a little bit easier to deal with," said Aaron. Lance Corporal George grew up in Houston, but also had strong ties in Pasadena, attending church there at Alta Vista Baptist. Arrangements for his funeral are pending

Just two sites that focus on the 95% of what is great and going well in Iraq, that vs. the liberal "I hate George Bush" liberal media blindly focusing on the 5% bad and tragic news from Iraq. All this in the name of hating our President and their bitterness over losing the 2000 and 2004 Presidential election while at the same time undermining the mission of the men and women in the military proudly serving our country.

How far is Crawford from Houston and what is the best route? Do you think this will be appropriate for children? I have a 5 and 9 year old that I would love to see this first hand. I did take them to a pro-Bush rally once and then overheard my oldest tell a friend at school and her mom that I took them to "a riot".
